Well the Eden Tree is still struggling to establish itself within Burnley so after a lick of paint and some rebranding, it has recently reopened as La Roche. Don’t be put off by the slightly communist feel to the signage, this is a cheap, friendly and comfortable restaurant offering a delicious selection of Lebanese and Mediterranean inspired dishes. The staff are always friendly and seem to treat me like a family member every time I visit. The prices are fantastically cheap but quality and flavour doesn’t lose out in order to save a few pennies. The recent reopening has bought a slightly changed menu which now serves the most fantastic calamari around the £3 mark as well as a great selection of barbecued meats for main courses. Desserts aren’t offered but I’ve always been given a delicious fresh fruit platter at the end of the meal and with a three course meal including good quality wine costing at most £10 per head, La Roche as it’s now known is well worth a visit.
