As a student Triangle Grill was my go-to for a decent portion of chips after a night out on the triangle. They’re all friendly guys and do the best(meaning largest) portion of chips, cheese and beans in the area and their late night, or should that be early morning, hours are great if you’re the kind of person that stays on the dance floor until the club bouncers are literally pushing you out the door. The food comes in decent portions and you don’t have to wait long for your grub. The shop always looks moderately clean, certainly better than the Hunger Hatch just down the road. I had some friends live across the road from Triangle Grill while at uni and their flirting from across the road usually secured us good service and slightly cheaper food, though I don’t think the guys reading this would benefit from batting their eyelashes unless you’re wearing a particularly short skirt…

Why are kebabs always sold in houses? I suspect its something to do with trying to class up their act a bit. There’s not need for this at Triangle Grill Kebab House, they do a good, honest(read that as greasy) kebab that’s perfect for a moment of weakness after a night out. Their competition in the 2am food market is the nearby Hunger Hatch. That there isn’t really much to distinguish the two. Like Hunger Hatch they’ll cook you up whatever you like in less than five minutes. Again like Hunger Hatch I wouldn’t let your eyes linger too long on the state of the kitchen, which most definitely isn’t as enticing as the smell that usually pulls me in. Basically, the Triangle Grill Kebab House is a bog standard fast food joint, and there’s certainly nothing wrong with that.

When gagging for an after hours kebab, head to Triangle Grill — they’re open until 4am at weekends. For hardcore fast food-ites of the Clifton area. The kebabs are the same as you’d get anywhere(yes, a whole lot of reconstituted lamb and goodness knows what else) but after a boozy evening it does the trick. They are renowned for their fresh, homemade chilli sauce which is better and hotter than you’ll experience in most kebab shops. Onion rings are also good — crisp and plenty of ‘em for £1.50. I can guarantee the place will be crammed with drunk students of a Saturday night, but seemed less busy and less rowdy than the burger bar across the road.

This place does the best Kebab that I know of in Bristol. Chilli sauce to die for and they give you as much as you want but be carefull is a bit hot. Always busy after the pubs/clubs closed and the taxi rank or bus stops aren’t far.
