This pub is not for the faint hearted; it has a tendency to get pretty rowdy pretty often. A friend and I popped in here for a drink on our way into town a few weeks back and, although the drinks were reasonably priced, the atmosphere was edgy and the venue itself was seedy. Needless to say, we only stayed for one drink, and a fight proceeded to brake out as we were leaving (apparently this was nothing new). I have since witnessed other brawls taking place outside the pub on walks home from various nights out… On the plus side, Rope Walk has an outside smoking area, and regularly puts on karaōke nights.
