Permagard

I do not recommend having anything to do with this company. I bought an Insurance backed guarantee from them for £100, shortly after paying the guarantee arrived.
A few years later I noticed discoloration to my wallpaper and as the original Permagard approved contractor (AA Cobra Damp Control) had changed the name of his company, I contacted permagard as I have an invoice stating clearly where the work was carried out and the price of the work. Permagard refuse to honor the guarantee saying they need an original survey report and plans, which my contractor did not provide me with. My argument is they should of let me see the small print before taking the money from me for the guarantee and my original permagard contractor should of told me about this.
Permagard say their insurers will not inspect the work without all the paper work, but when I contacted their insurers they told me Permagard have a policy excess of £2500 and as the work on my property is only around £700 to £1000 Permagard wouldn’t contact them at all.
I wrote to their CEO and he hasn’t even the courtesy to reply.
