I’ve found the staff at Bargain Booze on West Street to be quite friendly, maybe because I was in a chatty mood at the time, they were very helpful when discussing their range of vodkas and understood my sadness at the lack of non diet tonic water.
Though I have to say, my greatest appreciation comes from the fact that they sell Sailor Jerry rum at a bargain price. Its not stocked everywhere and sometimes can be very expensive so was well chuffed to find it here at a bargain price. Its not called Bargain Booze for nothing.

I like a place that lays its cards flat on the table — and that’s exactly what you get with Bargain Booze — there’s certainly no confusion to be had here. If it’s something cheap and alcoholic you’re after then this place will suit your needs admirably, although it has to be said that not everything they stock is a total bargain. Source out the special offers and you’ll be onto a winner, though. The staff aren’t exactly the most friendly bunch, but that’s fine, so long as you’re in and out as quickly as possible. You don’t want to be wasting valuable drinking time, anyway.

There was a mass upheaval in the alcohol business as Threshers went out of business, more independant sellers of spirits, beers, alco-​pops and wines are taking the fore front of the business…
But there is still one small chain that is fighting against the odd’s, bargain booze bucks the trend, and offers people the selection and offers that they have come to expect.
It is however not really that much of a bargain, you can pick up most of the drinks cheaper at Asda, but for sheer volume and selection this would be the place to go.

Despite being one of many in the vicinity, this branch of Bargain Booze is nonetheless an asset to the local community. Catering for a large population of students in the area (and the rest), this shop is perfect for stocking up on booze pre house party. You will find all manner of jaw-​dropping deals here, especially on wines and largers. And don’t forget to pick up some snacks while you’re here — they might help to soak up the excessive amount of booze you’ll soon have in your system.
