Great food, rang them back to tell them how much we enjoyed it. Have been looking for a while to try and find somewhere good, we used to order from Ajwad’s on London road but since they closed we have been at a loss. The Spice Nutriment has kept us going but we now have a new favourite. Highly recommended.

I keep promising myself that I will save money and eat healthier. Damn you Mumbai Express! Not that they are taking liberties with pricing, as all main dishes can be ordered from £6-£8, it’s my lack of restraint coinciding with me passing the curry house. I like to try the Chef’s Specials whenever eating at an Indian… all the other dishes are necessarily generic but always seem to be of similar calibre to everywhere else. All dishes come with rice included in the price which is something of a rarity of late Good prices and good grub.

Situated on the corner of our road,(next to the pub, which is an added bonus), this is my household’s favourite takeaway. With a massive menu and a Chef’s Special list that never fails to disappoint,(try the Green Tikka Massala or Chicken Makhani), Mumbai Express is our Saturday night best friend. There’s no faffing with shelling out for separate rice, each dish comes with its very own rice portion, for no extra price. Of course you get the usual helpings of popadoms, onion salad and yoghurt sauce, and if you pick up your order you get a 10% discount. We usually spend about £16 and get two curry dishes with rice, nan bread and two side dishes, and what we don’t finish the cat will happily polish off it’s that good. What makes it even nicer is when you call up and they remember your name.(Or does that mean we eat too much curry? Hmmm…)
