This name didn’t really make me think of leather accessories, it instead suggested a fetish club for those who love leather. I came here wanting to buy a belt, every single one I’ve bought from a high street shop just snaps(am i doing something wrong?). So I came here for a good quality leather belt that would do the job. However, I was actually pretty disappointed with the offering, and the price. The one belt I was contemplating was £25, and not actually very nice. If you’re a friend for leather though, this will be for you(if by ‘friend’ for leather, you don’t mean whips etc)

I like wandering in here and pretending I can afford to buy their goods. Sadly, my student budget doesn’t really extend to leather bags and wallets, but it’s nice to look. They have all sorts of brands here — big names in the leather world such as Radley and Tula. Colourful bags and wallets are laid out for display, and as this is a good sized double fronted place, you’re likely to find what you’re looking for here. Assuming what you’re looking for is a leather bag or accessory of course.

Friends for Leather does indeed have that distinct leather smell… Yum? It sort of fades as you walk around. Items include baggage and accessories, such as: luggage tags, passport holders, wallets, purses, handbags, briefcases, laptop carriers and suitcases. All look to be high quality for fairly reasonable prices. Non-leather goods include umbrellas — some pretty unique styles, actually and several set out for display — and travel accessories(like small padlocks) and leather care sprays and cloths. The shop is nicely decorated for Christmas at the moment, with a large tree in the middle, and tables set out with gift suggestions. I recommend stopping in if you’re a non-vegan who’s in the market for new travel or business gear. Or a wallet.
