I found this lovely mother and daughter owned café on my way back to the train station. It was a chilly May day and I was grateful for the warm tea and delicious breakfast! The service was very kind and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. I didn’t taste any of the baked goods because I’m gluten free but they looked delectable! Next time I will buy some for family or friends. I would certainly return.

They have the best homemade desserts here. The apple pie tastes like my mothers. The scones stuffed with cream and strawberry jam are like a little taste of heaven. The cream inside is light and refreshing. The service is so warm and friendly. They went out of there way to be nice. Make sure to stop here to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Just as you walk out of Brighton station and towards the sea, you can find Ella’s Yummy Delights. It’s an independent café with very friendly staff, great coffee and a wide range of cakes and sandwiches. One really unique thing about this place is that milk is served in adorable cow shaped jugs, which are also available to buy for £8. Note for lactose intolerants: Soya milk is available and sandwiches are handmade.

Just stumbling off the train hungry and grumpy we piled into the first café that we found and wow what a treat! Yes, it is just what it says on the sign it is a place of delights. The cakes are fantastic and the pastries wonderful, the mother and daughter team who run it are great team workers the hospitality is second to none. But really the best bit is the food. and not only are the cakes delicious but also inexpensive and, fantastically, the servings are really generous. The size of the café is small though, it would easily get crowded — it is well worth a visit though, I can’t wait to go back.

Ella’s Yummy Delights is a relatively new café run by a Mother and Daughter team(I met the daughter when I popped in last week, a lovely lady who obviously enjoys what she does). The café is ideally situated just down from the station and I can highly recommend popping in for a cuppa, a cake or a light lunch if you are in the area. I didn’t try a cake on this occasion but they are all baked on the premises and looked absolutely delicious. I went for a take away toasties and a tea as I was rushing for the train up to Gatwick. Toastie was mozzarella, tomato and basil. This and the tea came to a grand total of £3 — what a bargain! There are tables inside, and looking at the website I noticed that they also have a beautiful courtyard garden which I will definitely be visiting in the summer.
