Joy

Ok so we finally have a joy in Brighton! This shop is small but crams enough in it to stop me whinging (like I do with the topshop we have in Brighton).
You can get some real cute little pieces of clothing from here — not necessarily all to my taste but they look well made, which is more than you can say about most high street stores!
It also sells kooky, kitschy little homeware bits, similar to that in pussy. They do some great cards too — I love a nice card! Bog off Clintons you tacky filth!

Having been a fan of this chain in London I was over’joy’ed (hehe) when this branch opened up in Brighton a few months ago.
Fancy a new frock? This is the place to go. A huge selection, of admittedly varying quality, but great for a season and usually at reasonable prices. The style is a little different from your usual high street stores and I usually leave with at least a couple of items.
Joy is also a handy place to pick up an unusual gift for a birthday or celebration.
The staff are friendly and helpful and a little less trendy (in a good way) than can be found in the London branches.
Overall, a good addition to the Lanes shopping area in Brighton.
