Krispy Kreme

A usual KK outfit with a donut theatre on site. Lots of seating and choice of donuts. If u have never had a KK donut before, u have truly never lived… Not to be confused EVER with a donut u would buy from a supermarket!

Very strange location. My main gripe is why they chose Birstall.
Why? Wouldn’t it have made sense to choose Leeds City Centre (this place would be perfect inside The Light) over some area close to the Kirklees/​Leeds border? They could have even put the place in or near White Rose and got more custom. It isn’t like this is a place that people travel out of town just to go to like Ikea. Wouldn’t a centralised location have made sense? More money? It’s just that this place is a bitch to get to as buses only run to this place every half hour.
I do know someone who came all the way from Halifax just to come here though!

So then, this is a dessert heaven, and with 24hr drive thru opening how much better can it get.
The place officially needs the title of ‘Theatre of dreams’.
The store is a light and airy space with ample seating and fee (gulp!) wi-​fi and plugs for laptops!
There is a glass screen covering the do-​nut kitchen which processes the sugary delights & this is where every ones visit should begin– glued to the window!
Standard favourites are always stocked with the addition of the ‘featured flavour’ options which rotate on a fairly regular basis.
All flavours are a feast on the eyes as well as the lips and this is not a place to calorie count!
Coffee is also on offer to accompany the sweet treats at quite reasonable prices.
The staff are all clean cut, buzzy and friendly with the American inspired ‘have a nice day’ attitude.
Gift cards and gift boxes are available as well as the Krispy Kreme merchandise, paper hats and balloons for the kids.
This is a must visit place, a definite treat and an experience not to be missed!

Krispy Kreme Leeds is a café and drive through and you can get trays of donuts to takeaway or sit in the café and have a donut and a drink. It’s right near Ikea so when I go to Ikea I normally can’t resist a cheeky donut on the way home!
Krispy Kreme donuts come in several different flavours incluing custard filled ones, lemon meringue, and just glazed ones. They are about £2 each but work out cheaper if you buy a tray of them. They’re delicious but extremely fatty/​sugary/​generally unhealthy so I’m very glad I don’t have a branch nearer to my house! The drive through is really quick and they get through people very quickly and the café bit is nice-it’s clean and the staff are nice. I will have to deduct a star for the pure unhealthiness of the donuts though!
