Tin Lung Heen is fine dining Cantonese restaurant at Ritz Carton in ICC. My friend made the rsvn weeks in advance for window seat. When we talked in, I’m pretty sure this is ultra high end restaurant. It’s spacious, bright and model design with stunning interior. We got seated right beside window, 2 waiters to sever us tea and take the dim sim order. Steamed rice roll with Berkshire pig — Seriously, it’s not regular bbq pork steamed rice rolls. The bbq pork itself so smooth and tender, it’s delicious. Stir fried pea sprouts — The waiter told us this is first harvest log pea sprouts, it’s s fresh. Truly, it’s smooth like silky tofu and taste so green. Abalone tart — It’s so mouthful and abalone very tasty too! Steamed shrimp dumplings — Shrimp dumplings were great and they put some gold leaf on each dumpling to make it more presentable. Pan fried radish cake — the presentation pretty good and radish cake not too greasy. Baked Ice mountain almond bun — the top and outside of bun so crispy and almond milk running inside. Just perfect. Crystal glutinous red bean buns — 2 little glutinous red bean balls on golden plate. LOL. It looked beautiful. The dim sims were divine, the environment quite classy and top-notch service in hotel restaurant.

For a 2 Michelin Star restaurant, I expected more. When it comes to location(102 floor above the Ritz), service and atmosphere, TLH is definitely 5 stars. But when it comes to food, I’m not sure if it’s even Michelin Star worthy… It was good. Very good, actually… Just not all that impressive nor memorable i much prefer Lung King Heen at Four Seasons which received 3 Michelin Stars.

This restaurant perfectly represents the reason why I get excited about visiting Hong Kong — you cannot find this level of Chinese cooking anywhere else in the world. I have dined at Tin Lung Heen twice, four years apart. The second time was as great as the first. 2 stars well deserved. The star dish of this restaurant is the BBQ pork. I have yet to find a restaurant anywhere that has char siu that comes close to what Tin Lung Heen is putting out. I won’t go into detail about all the other dishes, but they were all fantastic. If you’re a little price sensitive, come during lunch. The service is something that you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant — super attentive and helpful staff. The interior décor is modern chic and the views are jaw dropping. Located on the 102nd floor of the ICC, you have a great view of Hong Kong(when the skies are clear). Heck, even the washroom has an amazing view. Notes: — You get to the restaurant through the Ritz Carlton hotel elevators. Just ask any of the building staff and they can direct you. — You can make online reservations.

This place was beautiful! 100 + floors above the dazzling city of Hong Kong and decorated like a palace. While I loved the setting and fabulous interiors, I didn’t think the food was AMAZING. I had been to the Mandarin Oriental’s dim sum place, Man Wah, the day before and thought that was much better. But, the experience of entering the Ritz Carlton, shooting up its impressive elevator, and having the whole city at your fingertips was an awesome experience. Food is definitely not bad — I just feel like I couldn’t find as many things I was interested in ordering so maybe the menu was a little less American friendly. Also, make sure to make a reservation! Their reservation staff was beyond amazing in accommodating all of my reservation changes and making sure we got a window table.

I took my mum here for her bday recently. Pros: — amazingly stunning views — the restaurant is located on one of the highest floors of the tallest building in Kowloon… great views of the outer islands — great food — I got the tasting menu and the barbecued pork was amazing — solid service — they really made my mum feel special on her special day Cons: — this place is not cheap and even though the ingredients were great, 2,000HKD+ pp is a bit steep for Chinese food Despite the prices, I’ll be back. My mum had a great time here that night.

For the poor saps who still use Unilocal instead of Openrice in finding good restaurants in HK, this one’s for you: if you want over-the-top dim sum in Hong Kong, this place is absolutely where you want to go. Located atop the Ritz Carlton, the view is absolutely stunning and actually overlooks the western view of HK, one that you may not be familiar with if you stay in or travel around the harbor. Instead of the normal skyline, you’re looking down at manmade islands and shipping freighters. The view is gorgeous and worth the meal alone. That said, nothing we had here was mediocre– it was certainly all delicious and worth the high price tag per dish. Something to keep in mind– if you try to pair your lunch at Tin Lung Heen with a visit to the Ozone Bar, you’ll be disappointed as it doesn’t open until 6PM. Still worth the trip for the food and view alone though.

Exceptional service, nothing spectacular about the dishes. You can have better dim sum at other places in Hong Kong with the same quality at a fraction of the price. Here is just to enjoy the Ritz experience but I was not impressed with the food.

This is the BEST dimsum place ever. If you are going to travel to HongKong, you must try this place and you won’t regret it. This is the first time I would give 5 stars for all the dishes we ordered. All the items were perfect and its presentaion look great too. I LOVE this place, not just because it is a Michelin restaurant but their foods were so delicious!!!

A solid two michelin star restaurant in hongkong. Only one cantonese 3 michelin star restaurant in hongkong exist and also very very few 2 star exist. The vibe and atmosphere this restaurant creates is unreal like out of the movie scene. Night view would be even better. The food was bit difficult for me to eat. Maybe I’m not so into Cantonese cuisine. I really did not enjoy my food but the atmosphere was wonderful. I would refuse to eat another meal here and actually I didn’t eat half of the food that came out. I tried my hard to eat all of the portion but after a bite, I did not want to eat such a strong scented food since I love more natural taste. The food did not work for me but still loved the overall experience of dining here. I cannot give a bad review just because it is not my style or taste, hence I’d give 3⁄5 stars.

BESTDIMSUMINHONGKONGINMYOPINION! Excellent iberico pork charsiew. Must order. Roast pork is crispy and melts in your mouth. Favorite dish is probably the turnip cake with XO sauce. Order the mango pomelo dessert with the egg tarts and fried sesame custard balls. Tables might be hard to book so make sure you call ahead. Weekend seatings are at 11.30am and at 1pm.

This place delivers. It has two menus, one Michelin and one Special, both for a fixed price. And you could also order a la carte. I ordered the bbq combination with the Iberian pork and I was almost licking my fingers. My boyfriend ordered chicken. And it was fresh and juicy and the skin was crispy. Who knew fires chicken could be so delicious?. The sautéed lobster was exquisite. I wanted to keep eating to try more delicious stuff but I was very full. I still ordered the egg custard(which I don’t usually like) and I was savoring every bite. Every time I put food in my mouth I was transported to heaven. This is the way I was born to eat ;) Oh and the tequila cocktail was … Yummmmmmmy! I would come here or Tosca(Italian). Located in the same hotel, only a couple feet apart. Tosca has a better view and both restaurants are delicious.

3.5 stars, it’s honestly good, just expensive for what it is… I was really excited to dine here, especially because I was already staying at the Ritz Carlton and did not want to travel far for dinner, not to mention, it is also a 2 Michelin starred restaurant. Anyways, it was our 11th Anniversary dinner and we were on vacation in HK. Let me clarify that the staff here is incredible, very attentive and friendly, with great knowledge of the menu. The food was a step up from my favorite Chinese Restaurant in my hometown(reminds me of a past review of Mr Chow’s in Beverly Hills) that is about $ 60 for the same amount of food. While everything was good I do not believe the restaurant warrants a single Michelin star. We have been to other 2 star Michelin restaurants before(Quince & Coi SF) that I feel were so much more exceptional. Maybe it is a lot easier to earn that title in HK. I wouldn’t return for the cost, about 5,800HKD for our meal with tip. I believe that translates to about $ 800USD. I wouldn’t return for the satisfaction/price ratio.

This is a two part review of one of the best places I dined at in Hong Kong. 1. The dinner we had here was the Spring Tasting menu and it was very unique and flavorful. Alot of seasonal flavors and meticulously put together by a world class chef, no doubt. The manager also brought us out some BBQ Iberico Pork which was super good. I probably would go back and get massive amounts of the BBQ pork and Roasted pork as it was the best I had anywhere in HK. The décor is ridiculously nice and is on the 102nd floor of the Ritz Carlton. The views are crazy and this has to be one of the nicest restaurants i’ve ever been in. Definitely worthy of the 2 star Michelin rating. 2. Now lets get to what really made me drool. We came back a couple days later to have Dim Sum here and WOWWWWW! I meant woww this has to be the best damn dim sum i’ve ever eaten in my life. This punks all others and makes the dim sum I eat here in the US look like pop tarts for breakfast. Not only was it exquisite and had gold flakes on the har gow, but the taste of everything was outstanding and not greasy at all like most other dim sum places you probably are accustomed to. If you ever come to HK and dont come here for dim sum, you will have FOMO for the rest of your life. It was that good and im not even exaggerating. This was probably the best meal I had the entire time I was in HK. If I could give this meal alone 6 stars, I would. The service is impeccable and as good as it gets.

Dim Sums so meticulously designed and prepared that every mouthful is worth savouring. My favourites included the Iberian pork char siu(BBQ pork) which melts in your mouth, a friend scallop Wonton that is super crispy on the outside but retains the seafood goodness on the inside, and the dessert — Pomelo and mango sweet soup, which was not too sweet and we’ll balanced. Coupled with fantastic service and a superb view, it was a great experience.

Excellent food, classy atmosphere and awesome service. This place is perfect for dim sum. The best part about their dim sum is they use the bamboo tray to steam it instead of the metal one most dimsum place use. And their bamboo tray is actually clean. I can’t say that for very many places in Hong Kong! Not to mention the gold flakes on top of their har gow is a very nice artistic touch. Their abalone siu mai is absolutely delicious. The whelk rice noodle is very unique and tasty, it is an absolute must try! This restaurant definitely knows how to make their dim sum better than the rest of Hong Kong!

The dim sum place of all dim sum places in Hong Kong. What can I say about Tin Lung Heen that other Unilocalers haven’t said yet?!? Tin Lung Heen is definitely a fine establishment that my family and I enjoy going to each time we are in town. Located on the 102nd floor of the Ritz Carlton, you can capture an amazing view of all of HK on a nice(smog free) day. Service is always attentive and on point + their dim sum selection is so unique and different. There are a lot of dishes that I can order here that I cannot get elsewhere. Presentation for each dish is also gorgeous, every dish was nicely plated. Well deserved 2 Michelin Stars restaurant! :)

OK. Well this was definitely one of the more decadent meals that I’ve had in a while. Everything about this place is awe inspiring– the room, the view(102nd floor), the gorgeous setting and the impeccable service was 100% on point. We had a private room for dim sum and it was amazing. Every course that arrived was more gorgeous than the last. The gold dusted har kow was delicious and luxe but not the star of the day for me. Some of my favorite items were the abalone and goose tarts, the fried bean curd rolls, the spinach wrapped in bamboo sheet topped with black truffle, the whole steamed fish, and everybody else loved the BBQ Iberico pork. It’s definitely deserving of both of its Michelin stars!

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – ESSENTIALTIPS&EXECUTIVESUMMARY: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – # As of the 2014 and 2015 Hong Kong Michelin Guide, this is a 2 Michelin Star Cantonese restaurant. Specifically, specializing in dim sum. # A reservation beforehand is recommended though I got my booking the day before for lunch right when they opened at 11:30AM on Saturday. # Before I knew Unilocal existed in HK, I scoured all of Tripadvisor to see what people recommended. I followed their recommendation and I will give you the same. The 2 must-have specialty dishes here are(1) the Iberian BBQ Pork and(2) Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Fish Maw in Baby Coconut… whew that’s a long title. # In regards to the 2 dishes that I cite, if you’re a huge critic like me, your mind won’t explode into pleasure bits from eating them. They’re very good, but not mind-blowing. # This restaurant employs excellent dim sum cooking and I probably will have to agree that this place deserves its 2 stars though I kinda entertain the idea they should have 1. lol, I’m mean. I should never be a Michelin inspector — not that I want to. # Okay so if you’re not looking to spend loads of money, watch how fast you drink the water! HUH? You only get a choice of bottled still or sparkling water and it’s not free. As you drink, the servers will keep pouring then when the 1st bottle runs out, they’ll open another. If you don’t want to pay extra fees, just drink your water slowly. # If you order just enough dim sum to provide yourself a self-made tasting course, you won’t spend a ridiculous amount here. I think I spent about US$ 200 for 4 people. That’s not too bad considering you could spend $ 400PERPERSON at other michelin restaurants. # On the way to the bathroom, take a peek at their wine cellar hallway. I believe it connects to Tosca, another Michelin-rated restaurant(1 star). The hallway will mesmerize you with its gold, silver, mirrors, and glass. You’ll know when you see it. My sisters and I took a picture in the hallway. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – MYEXPERIENCE: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – If you subtract out the fine table cloths, the skyline view of Hong Kong, the server in a suit, and the elegant feeling you get when you walk in – I will say that the food itself is expertly prepared, but not life-changing even if you get the Iberian pork and fish maw coconut soup. I’ll tell you about the dim sum course then I’m going to peace out. [START] Right when you sit down, you get a tiny porcelain dish full of candied walnuts or some kind of nuts. It tasted like… candied walnuts. Yeah! Don’t get too excited just because it’s a michelin star restaurant. They’re not that incredible. But for some reason, our server brought chili oil with the walnuts. I was confused and in my confusion, I decided to dip my candied walnuts in the chili oil and eat it. Was it right? Was it wrong? I have no idea. It was probably wrong, but it’s too late. Also, I drank my water slowly after realizing my group will get charged per bottle, but 2 out of 3 sisters were thirsty so they kept on drinking. [DIMSUMISSERVED] (o) Iberian Pork: very tasty and tender, but the minds of my sisters and I were not blown apart. You should still order it. It’s very high quality pork from Spain. The pig is raised under specific standards and specifications. (o) Double-boiled Chicken with Fish Maw in Young Coconut: Oh god that title is so longggg. The soup broth is light and refreshing since young coconut water is mixed in. The fish maw is beautifully curled up in the coconut and light in taste as well. I liked this dish because it was clean and relaxing? Sorry I can’t find the right word. Kinda makes me wish I had the cold then had this soup, it probably would feel amazing, but being sick sucks so no. (o) Half Order of Peking Duck: delicious and loved the crispy skin and tender meat. The kitchen did a great job preparing this dish. There is no grease, dryness, or problems with the dish at all. (o) Chicken Feet in Yellow Mustard Sauce: The chicken feet was soft and tender, but the mustard sauce was a little too strong. The mustard sauce was great, but I couldn’t get over the sour /slightly spicy /burning taste. I personally think it overpowered the chicken feet which is delicate in taste since it’s all collagen. [DESSERT] I forgot sorry, but I know they were just fine. Not amazing, but fine. I think Tin Lung Heen only has a few options for dessert. Did they give a complimentary dessert too? Damn I can’t remember. This is why you need to review right after eating at a restaurant or at least write notes. I only wrote partial notes — whatever. Hope my eating experience helps you maximize your fine dim-sum experience!

Brought dim sum to a more refined level, depth of flavors and perfectly paired wines(we had the wine pairing option). The dining room is beautiful and comfortable. The berbecued Iberian pork and steamed sea cucumber dumpling with shrimp roe were crave-able.

Perched on the 102nd floor of the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong, this is a very nice high-end dim sum spot. All the dishes were well done, presently nicely and most importantly, of good quality. Try and order their signature dishes. Here are some dishes that are very good: — Crispy roasted pork belly(the majority of our party liked this one!) — BBQ pork(it’s made from Iberico pork, so the meat was very tender) — Soup dumpling with fish maw(love it!) — Baked BBQ buns(nicely done) — Steamed glutinous rice with abalone and sea cucumber(for the glutinous rice lover, the rice is glazed with abalone brown sauce) None of the dishes we ordered were bad, but some dishes just didn’t do anything for us. Here they are: — Deep fried shrimp toast — Golden shrimp dumplings(the«har gow» was over-rated with the gold flakes on top) — Baked egg tart with caramel(nothing special about this dish, perhaps maybe because the dish was barely even warm) I especially love their ambiance. The service is prompt and the interior is very nicely decorated. The view overlooks the Western Kowloon and the Kwai Chung port. Note: Make reservations in advance and ask for a window seat!
