If you were to ask me, «which place in Hong Kong delivers the most consistent dish in terms of presentation and taste» Mercer Café 孖沙茶餐廳 always come first on my mind. For whatever reason, I’m always excited having their triple fried eggs with cha siu on rice after Saturday training session. Each time, their eggs are fried to perfection with the right consistency so that when you mix it with the warm rice, the golden liquid coats the cha siu perfectly and their soy sauce adds just the right amount of saltiness as a finishing touch. Such a simple combination and yet so perfect. This restaurant has been operating for over 10+ years as a go to place for local workers and residence of Sheung Wan, and at the price point of $ 32, what more do you want?
