I came across this place because I originally wanted to go to Kau Kee Noodles nearby but ended up just walking around and found out that this place offered vegetarian dumpling noodles! The lady(wife of owner, judging from the pictures hanging on the wall) seated me very quickly and was relatively nice. However, this restaurant is very small, not fancy at all, with the evident aura of local Cantonese restaurant. The size of the dish itself was more than enough and very filling. However, the quality of it was not as satisfying. The soup was very salty and the dumplings’ skin easily ripped. Like many other local restaurants, this place did not offer napkins. They also seated me with a random stranger who was sitting alone because I walked in to be seated as one. Either they were trying to play matchmaker(which I’m certain they were not) or they were just trying to save their other tables in case more people walked in.(This was my second week in Hong Kong I wasn’t used used to being seated with strangers. I think eating alone can be considered a personal down-time and I like to be able to sit their and enjoy my food without having another person who I don’t even know watching me. However, this is nothing against this particular restaurant seeing as it is very common for HK restaurants to seat strangers together at a table with extra seats, especially the local ones. It’s simply a cultural thing.) Overall, service was okay. Staff wasn’t extremely accommodating or friendly. Food was decent, the soup and noodles were definitely too salty for me. Not sure if I will be coming back.
