Hotel Zenit Lisboa

The location for the price cannot be beat.
Located a two-​minute walk from the Saldanha metro stop, you can easily drag luggage here from the airport. Just take the red line all the way from the airport!
We got a room with two twin beds, and it is plenty of space. Shower does not have a curtain and has instead half a glass wall. Complimentary shampoo, body wash, and lotion are provided. (So is a toothbrush just in case United Airlines forgets your baggage… Just. Like. Mine.)
Air conditioning is cold, and lobby looks like a nice, clean boutique hotel. Free wi-​fi. Breakfast is available for 10 Euros if you desire, but tons of «pastelarias» around here!

This was my first trip to Lisbon. I found this hotel through Travelocity. We were there from June 13^th to June 19^th, 2015.
As soon as we got there they were very attentive and friendly. Our flight got in at 6am, they did not have our room ready as their check in does not start until 3pm.
However, they put us up in a smaller room, which overlooked another building. They told us we could switch rooms in the morning, or we could just wait until the afternoon for the room we paid for. We decided to take the little room as we were exhausted. I felt the detail of accommodating us was very good.
The next morning, the switch happened without any incident.
Pros:
The building itself on the outside is beautiful with hand painted tiles.
Lobby is small but nicely decorated. Regular rooms are also modern looking and with the expected amenities.
Sunday night was raining and we decided to eat at the bar inside the hotel. My husband had the best burger of his life, and I had probably one of the best Tosta mista that I have eaten so far.
Location was great, a short walk down the road we were downtown (Baixa). Passing through Marques do Pombal and Rocio.
They have a car rental company that works with them. This is the most convenient thing I have experienced. They will have a car ready for you within an hour at very competitive prices.
Cons:
The reasons why this hotel did not receive 5 stars from me are:
I did not like the fact I had to call the reception every time I had to use the ironing board and return it every time.
Bathrooms did not offer wash cloths, and I had to go all over looking for a loofa (no CVS type pharmacies in Portugal).
I felt they were very tight with the bathroom products, we did not receive a new soap until our 4^th day.
Bed was made and bathroom somewhat cleaned but they wouldn’t touch anything else, or even throw out what was clearly trash (empty potato chips bag, candy wrapper).

Este hotel tem um ponto muito grande a seu favor… a sua localização! Uma vez, um amigo meu era para ficar em minha casa e decidiu hospedar-​se aqui. Fui lá ver o que tinha este hotel de especial para ser melhor que a minha casa! O hall de entrada é muito confortável e os quartos são de factos muito bem decorados. O quarto dele não era muito espaçoso, presumo que fosse o mais barato mas não deixava de ter detalhes muito interessantes.
