After meandering through the streets of Baixa, we wanted to sit and relax for a bit and just enjoy being on vacation. We stopped into Cafouro and I made my way upstairs to the lofted seating area while my husband ordered at the counter: another round of pastries & espresso for two. These pastries knocked Padaria’s(next door) out of the park. It was very obvious to us they were fresh from that morning as the crust still had a nice flakiness to it. The coffee, while hard to tell because they’re so similar, was a little better too. We stopped by Cafouro multiple times during our stay for this reason. Every time the pastries were fresh and the service was excellent.

Este é um daqueles estabelecimentos de fabrico próprio onde, quando entro, é para comprar algo com vista a consumir na rua, o que o posiciona como uma pastelaria/snack bar de passagem. O Cafouro tem um boa variedade de pastelaria a preços acessíveis. O meu destaque vai para os palmiers encorpados e saborosos. Infelizmente, da última vez que lá fui, já não os havia disponíveis.
