NH Utrecht

Stayed here two times. Hotel looks really fancy, in a modern European way, and the rooms are really nice.
First time I had a 24 square meters big room, last time 22 square meters and the difference is quite big on how much space there is.
I like the detail with a huge mirror in the room, makes it look fancy and a bit more trendy.
Beds are really nice. Not to hard, not to soft. One of the better ones I would say.
But the best part is… There are USB ports in ALL power outlets. And there are several. Even by the bed! So this place is keeping up with the 21^st century!
Breakfast is nice. Typical continental with a big assortment of things.
There are two restaurants, but I’ve only tried the one by the bar who makes a killer spaghetti with truffles pasta! Assortment of beers could be better though.
Close to Utrecht Centraal and the city center which is nice.

If you like the smell of hash — go here — we have been smoked away for 3 nights now. One night sigarettes, two nights hash/​pot/​weet. Very Dutch maybe but horrible for a hotel and not everyone seemed to take complaints seriously. The bar is nice and the bar personnel is friendly.

Recommended place to stay if your business takes you to Utrecht.
Pub/​bar restaurant is tasty. Service is excellent. It’s a short (very easy) walk to the train station.
