Biergarten

Man könnte meinen ich bin auf der Biergarten Tour 2015. Ich hoffe mein Bauch zahlt mir das nicht schneller Heim als mir lieb ist. (Ich blicke an mir nach unten und stelle fest — die Plautze hat Potential)
Inmitten von Rotterdam ein Biergarten. In San Francisco hatte ich das Erlebnis bereits und nun auch hier. Scheint der neue Exportschlager zu sein. Gut, wenns hilft. Ich fühl mich dann ein wenig mehr wie zu Hause. Kann man machen, muss man aber nicht.
Hier ist es eher wie ein Club aufgezogen. Der Außenbereich hat durchaus «Garten-​Atmosphäre», aber die klassischen Bierbänke sind dünn gesäht. Wir mussten uns vergeblich an einem Stehtisch vergnügen, was natürlich bei irgendwann auch die stärkste Plautze in die Knie zwingt.
Ich hatte jedenfalls einen netten Sommerabend in dem Rotterdam-​Biergarten. Wirklich lecker und und tolle Stimmung!

Biergarten terrace. on a sunny Wednesday evening …its buzzing with people but really quite relaxed. There is a mix and match of places to sit an drink. I did not order food but douze points for the ways they tempt you with humorous names like love on a stick to try some of it. (In the meantime I thus went back for the food a couple days later… men those ribs please make them into a meal and triple the portion delish!!, the burger and lovesticks were great however the fried fish appetizer was so salty my face cringed… the icetea could do with a both of an extra ginger kick but the cucumber cooler was just the thing… so go and cool down with one ;)) Wine was good, loved the hanging pots with candles really added to the whole all fresco feel. Like being at a beach bar only in the middle of the city. This is going to be one of my favorite hangouts for the summer for sure.

Waste of time and money. Far too busy, next to a loud underage nightclub. Beers are far too expensive (6 euro plus) and usually given in plastic cups! People are far too drunk — and since this is located outdoors anyone who’s anyone is hanging around (so mind your stuff!!) If you want a beer you will have to queue for 10 – 15 mins. And in that, the staff are pretty inconsiderate and rude. Vile toilets, located in a container, not clean, (no soap). Only for people who like feeling dirty all night long!
