Vincenzo has great food and excellent customer service. The only downer they need to add a gluten Free menu to the lunch menu, other than just providing salads and soup as a single option for people with Celiac. So easy to do, just grab a bag of gluten Free noodles or bread at any of these markets, in order to versatile the menu. For example, the chef could walk a few steps to Alberheijn to purchase gluten-Free noodles to make a lovely pasta dish. In Italy they have gluten-Free dishes every where, so Vincenzo basically needs to jump on the bandwagon with everyone. It is a nice little neighborhood to grab a bite to eat for lunch. Italian café outside of the center has a lot of quality to it.

One of my former colleagues is participating in the Alpe d’huzes(biking up the Alpe D’huez 6 times to raise money for cancer research) and he organized a fundraising diner at Vincenzo. After hearing about where it was located, I was quite surprised as it is completely out of the center and I did not expect restaurants to be there :) I am really happy that my former colleague did choose this place, as it really is an extremely nice place! Because it was a fundraiser diner, we had a limit choice for the food(set menu with choice between two starters, two main courses, and two deserts). The quality of the food was very nice. Besides the food, the hospitality of the host Carlo however is super! He was really trying to ensure everybody was having a good time and was extremely helpful in providing tips which of the wines we should try with each of the dishes. Best is that he is doing this with a nice touch of humor. I was told by my former colleague that the first time that they went there, they did not order the risotto, but that he still came to them with a big spoon to ensure that they still were able to try the risotto besides their chosen dish :) Because of the fundraising, there was also a live band. At the end of the evening however, Carlo also went for some singing: first«Bloed, Zweet en tranen» by Andre Hazes and after that Frank Sinatra :) With everything Carlo does, it really shows he is enjoying it. Finally, will have to go back to this place very soon to have a coffee, as Carlo offered me to provide tips for our upcoming trip to Sicily, as his father is from Sicily and had some ideas where we could go :)
