We had dinner there, with the idea that the price is high but its worth it. The dishes where okay. The worst part that i found plastic in my food. No excuses, no complimentary drinks or something of that sort. Never wend back again. The location deserves a better restaurant.

ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Speisen. Von der Vorspeise bis über den Hauptgang und dem Nachtisch alles war sehr lecker. Außerdem stimmte der Service. Sehr nette Kellner, leckeres Essen. Unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen!

Napoli is located two blocks from my house, but I avoided it for the first year and a half of living here in Haarlem because I was told that it was expensive for what it offered. The people who told me that… were right, I think. My husband and I finally went here for dinner a couple of weeks ago and I ordered a salmon with pasta dinner, he ordered some lamb or beef with pasta dish. My salmon was cut into little pieces, coated with tomato sauce and mixed with linguine. Not quite what I expected, and the salmon’s fatty grey skin layer wasn’t completely removed, but it was ok. Not great, just ok and € 23 or so. My husband liked his dish better, but again, at € 25 or so, it wasn’t THAT great. Maybe we should’ve ordered pizza? The big wheel of cheese that they cook in table-side was interesting to see — but makes me wonder, how old is that cheese wheel, how many people and pests have touched it and what diseases will I get if I order something that they cook in it? ew Likely won’t go back, there are too many other decent pizza options in town and I’ll just continue to make my own pasta at home.

I’m going to give Napoli three stars, mostly for reasons of nostalgia. When I was little, we used to go to Napoli about once a month for dinner. The waiters knew us and were always friendly, and the food was high quality and authentic. I remember them having this ENORMOUS round cheese which they would wheel out to your table. They’d use torches to melt the top of it, and then scrape that off for the raclette dish. We were so in awe! Then one day some critic discovered Napoli. They got an amazing review, and then started getting more and more attention. And so when we went back the next time, the restaurant was not only packed, but the prices had DOUBLED. Just like that, overnight, the same food, from the same waiters and the same chefs, cost twice as much. We ate, then left and never returned. Well, at least not for well over a decade. We started going to Azzurro in Heemstede instead. I’ve been back one more time, last December. The food is still great, slightly better than at Azzurro’s, with more variety. However, the prices are still way too high, and the atmosphere seemed different. Somehow it never regained that«simple but authentic» feel that it had all those years ago in the early 1990s.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, das auch durch Michelin Guid empfohlen wird. Allerdings sind die Preise auch dementsprechend hoch.
