Small, local restaurant in Haarlem, with mostly Greek food. It’s tucked in a little street entrance, and you enter through a dark curtain covering the door; the darkness gives it quite the atmosphere. The menu is displayed on a chalkboard above the kitchen, and featured approximately eight dishes. I tried a baked eggplant dish — it was rich, tasty and huge! I gave a portion of it to one of my friends at dinner to finish, I was totally stuffed after about half. The drink menu was small, and we shared a laugh when we got pints of beer, and the server had to take and refill our glasses because they only had three pint glasses for the whole restaurant. Overall, a nice place for a hearty meal.

This is a lovely cozy place — I almost missed the tiny street to get there. Lots of vegetarian options for lunch. I had the spinach-goat cheese-Brie-pine nuts-honey sandwich, which was toasted to perfection and made for a good, filling lunch. The fruit smoothie to accompany was decent. The staff is prompt and friendly. Overall a great meal, and definitely recommended for a casual lunch.

I was very curious about the food after Tanya’s review, so I decided to go for a dinner with my friend. The place is very small and it makes it very cosy. The waitress was very friendly and helped us with making our meal choice. We both didnt feel too hungry, so we skipped the starter. My friend took salmon with roquefort sauce and I took veggie wrap with haloumi cheese and vegetables. The combination of salmon with roquefort doesnt go well together, however the wrap with haloumi and veggies was a very good match. I wished that there was more haloumi, thought, as I found only few pieces. Dishes are well priced — mine was under 10 Euro and on average they are raging from 8 to 14 Euro. Food was ok, but not spectacular. Place has 2 disadvantages — you cannot pay with any card, so be prepared to have cash or run to the closest ATM and beware that you will smell like food when you leave it.

I tend to take chances on restaurants when we travel abroad. We tend to be disappointed a lot as a result and I feel guilty for dragging my wife all over creation to find some hole in the wall restaurant that doesn’t taste any better than a typical tourist-style restaurant or café. Based on Tanya V’s review I decided again to take a chance. I’m very glad we did. Everything she says is true. Incredibly helpful and pleasant staff. They made us feel very welcome. We’d definitely come back again and I’ve managed to maintain my wife’s faith in my restaurant choices for a little longer.

I’ve been back again for dinner with friends, and I’m upgrading my review to 5 stars! This is probably my favorite little restaurant in Haarlem because the food is super fresh and delicious, the menu is interesting(mostly Greek, but also a cajun wrap and a French chicken, some veggie, etc.), the atmosphere is fun and the staff is so ridiculously friendly! I really do love this place and HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend a visit if you’re in Haarlem.
