I had been all over Amsterdam and Haarlem looking for a rug for my house. Feeling defeated, we headed towards the station on a small shopping street, and walked halfway past the shop before deciding to go in. And when I walked in and saw the piles of Turkish carpets sitting around, I knew. We had found the place. The owner is very friendly and helpful (and also an excellent salesperson, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!). In addition to the gorgeous carpets he has lovely lamps, dishes and jewelry, all Turkish style. As I said we walked all over Amsterdam and Haarlem and did not find another shop like this. If you’re looking for something a bit different for yourself or as a present, have a look.

Ein toller Laden, voll mit buntem Tuch– und Kunsthandwerk, dass nicht zu vergleichen ist, mit dem üblichen Kitsch aus Andenkenläden. Wo man auch hinschaut, findet man liebevoll eingerichtete Eckchen die zum stöbern geradezu einladen.
Soweit mir der Inhaber versicherte ist mit den Produkten keinerlei Kinderarbeit verbunden, da er die Hersteller alle persönlich kenne. Schade das mein Reisegepäck nur für drei Tage bemessen war, denn so konnte ich nicht all zu viel mit nehmen. Aber ich werde wieder kommen und dann habe ich meinen großen Rucksack dabei :-)

A very nice store full of many nice living accessoires like this pillowcases i bought there today.
The owner is a very friendly guy. We had a nice smalltalk and he is happy to explain you everything you want to know.
So many nice artworks to see. Too much for a single visit. So i have to come back and take some more photos.
