This place had me feeling pretty nervous going in. The elegant and expensive décor combined with designer clad and perfectly coiffed clientele left me sure I’d be ordering a very expensive glass of wine, nursing it, then beating a hasty retreat ASAP. When I opened the massive leather bound wine list, I was amazed. You can get lovely glasses of sauvignon blanc or pilot noir for € 4. The rest of the wines are between 5 – 7 by the glass, with sparkling white wine for € 4 as well. Bargain! They have loads of bottles at both everyday and special occasion prices. Someone has put a lot of money into the décor here, it feels very decadent and luxurious. You can also get charcuterie plates. The staff are very warm and friendly, even to scruffy types like myself. A real find among the overpriced Den Haag bars.
