Grapes and Olives

I absolutely love this restaurant. It’s my favorite place to go in The Hague. The staff is super friendly, it has a casual laid back atmosphere, good wines and delicious cheeses. They also serve hot food, but be prepared, the dishes are smaller. I’m going to miss this place when I move back to the States.

I’m leaving down here my previous review. I have to update it as the place changed a bit. It’s still a very nice place, but there’s less nice tapas, they switched a bit more Italian and I’m not as big fan as before. So it’s not anymore this nice little wine bar with tapas, it became a bit more restaurant type, even though one can still come for a nice glass of wine.

We’ve recently discovered the place and it’s just great.
It’s a mix between a wine bar and a tapas place, dimmed lights, very cosy. «gezellig» as they say in Dutch.
You get good service, quick to respond to anything, welcoming and friendly.
The wines are good and you can get them for great prices. They don’t try to pretend anything, it’s just as you need it :-)
The tapas are very good. Nothing to recommend particularly. I did not leave anything on the plates…
One little downside is that it’s advised to book to be sure to have a place if you come at the end of the week or during the weekend…
