Great cozy place for a casual evening. I loved that the seating was very open and community like. The wine selection is absolutely impressive but the food didn’t blow me away — I was hoping it to be more impressive. We tried the lobster sausage and the meat platter and the bruschetta and the eggplant, tomato, feta plate — they were all good but not exceptional. Will I go here again — yes, pretty sure to try out some more great wine — food — meh.

I’m not a huge sausage fan, so I was skeptical when my friends chose this place for a couples dinner. By the end of the night I had eaten some of the best food I have tasted in Amsterdam. We tried the sheep cheese, the lardo bruschetta with fennel, the rillettes, weibwurst, lobster sausage, eggplant, chard gratin, lentil cassoulet, cheese plate, and semolina pudding. My favorites were the gratin and the eggplant with fava beans. The weibwurst was also delicious. Service was quite attentive. The place was nice and cozy with flowers and candles. We sat at the high table for about 4 hours, enjoying a well timed pace of various plates. The place was crowded all night, with what seemed to be a colorful cast of locals. We will definitely go back in the future.

Dude. Brunch might be a relatively new concept in this country, but come here and you’ll feel like these people have been doing it since Guy Beringer. The food is inventive and equally delicious, yet strangely familiar. The staff is attentive and jovial. Oh, and the atmosphere; as gezellig as it gets. Seriously, you could almost dance the rainmaker just to cozy up to a table with friends inside. Oh, and the chocolate torte will tear your wig back. That joint is ridonkulous.

So this is a tough one. Mostly, the wine and food was excellent. We tried the Goose Terrine first, ordered the Venison Sausage next and saved the decadent Pied de Cochon for last, which were incredible. But instead of the Venison, our server made a mistake and brought us Fennel Sausage. So now it’s weird, because we say she’s made a mistake, and she says ”Oh that’s what I heard”, and we blink at each other. Being lovers of food in general and meat in particular, my boyfriend and I ask if it will end up in the garbage, because that’s a shame and we didn’t touch it. She says yes, she can’t resell it. So we keep it, and don’t particularly like it as it contains chicory which impacts the taste of the whole dish. What stings is that we’re not offered a glass of wine or a coffee or even a cookie in compensation, which just reinforces the«horrible Dutch service» stereotype, which is a shame. So we’re frustrated with the whole experience. I’ll leave it up to you as to whether we are fools for eating food that we neither ordered nor enjoyed, or whether the staff could have done something to ensure our happy departure, but it sure left a mediocre taste in my mouth.

Pricey, high quality food and wine. Great and friendly service. A bit cliquey, but still friendly to newcomers.

A hidden gem with fantastic service. Reserve a seat at the bar in the open kitchen for a truly unique, tail-to-snout, communal dining experience.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was so amazing we came back a second time while on vacation in Amsterdam. Worst Wijncafe is a short taxi ride from the museum district. The chorizo and lobster sausage was amazing! We finished our meal with the chocolate salami. This was the best meal we had while on vacation in Europe. We will be returning to Worst Wijncafe on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Worst is really a nice place to eat. The food, mostly charcuterie created in house, is served tapas style. My pal and I pretty much threw ourselves to the mercy of the kind staff(«what is good here?» «what wine should we drink with this?») and they were knowledgeable and helpful and boy, did we have a great dinner. We had blood sausage, lamb sausage, and the most amazing: pied a Cochin(pork legs [I probably spelled that wrong]). All dishes were served with interesting vegetables as well, so we did get some green stuff. We skipped dessert, though it looked amazing(crème brûlée) in favor of the cheese plate(lots of nice stinky french things). The total cost for the two of us, rather copious wine drinkers, was 100 euro. They do not take reservations, but it was rather quiet when we were there(on a Wednesday), My only complaint are that the seats are stools with no back, which is a bit uncomfortable for long periods. Otherwise, I really liked it. Outstanding food!
