Oh, my! Vegetarians — rejoice! This small restaurant creates some dang tasty food! The vegetarian options are super lekker and the portions are huge. I repeat: HUGE.
It’s a great spot for takeaway night. It’s cheap. And, again… so dang tasty.
The tempeh tastes really fresh, the noodles and nasi are not too oily and just perfect in flavor. And that cake — you know the one, the layer cake. Man, it is GOOD!
It’s quickly become my new neighborhood staple. As in, almost every week since first taste. :)

This place serves some really delicious food, I really like the Barra with chicken and the Frieta! The menu is very big and they prepare everything pretty quick. I like this place for take-​away but it is comfortable enough for eating in as well; enough space, chairs etc, but totally lacking in atmosphere, especially since everyone is walking in and out.
There are also quite a lot of exotic drinks to choose from. Prices are decent and food is delicious so I definitely recommend this place.

One of the best in Amsterdam. Still! You can also find some pretty good Roti in Bijlmer for example at the Reigersbos Staion. There’s an Indonesian Suriname Grocery Store which also sells hot dishes. Very delicious.

Best gado gado in town. Like my grandmother made it. This place is cheap and good. A soup and loempia for EUR4, — is a meal. Only thing is the sate: quality always differ, so I stopped ordering this dish. Good that they have so much more on the menu! Quite some vegetarian dishes too.

Das unscheinbare Lokal Warung Mini in der Nähe des Amsteldijk, serviert köstliche Spezialitäten aus Suriname und Java. Ganz Amsterdam weiß, dass es hier die besten Nasi, Bami und Roti gibt. Zum Glück auch zum Mitnehmen, sonst würde man hier lange auf einen Tisch warten.
