First visit to this chain in several years. The menu is not dissimilar to the uk one and whilst there is gf menu it is not extensive with about 6 main dishes on it and only a few starters. I choose a dish that was complete ie nothing removed due to gf needs. The dish was fine to eat with nice broth and plenty of vegetables. As this is the financial district it was quiet in a Friday evening. Service was good and staff helpful.

Although I have to respect the localization of food to meet the local need, as Japanese, I did not like the food so much. I had sticky rise, karaage(fried chicken) and chicken dumplings. Why need some lemon glass herb? for karaage? Same for dumpling, some spice is not working well with it. Thanking for making Japanese good popular and accessible, I give extra star, but hope local people would taste true Japanese food later! 日本人としては、星は一つですねー ラーメンは頼めませんでしたが、唐揚げと餃子で、がっかり。日本食は、本当はもっと美味しいぞーと思いながら、帰りました^o^

Horrible! Even their lemonade was horrible. How can they go wrong with that?! Had to return it. We ordered 2 different sets of ramen. My friend had it London and hated it too. If you are Asian or like good Asian food, avoid this place. Nice place to eat but food is not good. The meats weren’t edible!

Great fusion restaurant. We had the chicken raman and the new lemongrass chicken noodles. The food was stellar and the service was amazing.

Wagamama is fast comfort food. It is definitely Asian-inspired and not reflective of the actual traditional dishes, but it is fresh and tasty. If you’re looking to grab a quick lunch or dinner, this is a great place to go. Food: 4⁄5 Tasty, fast and fresh. It definitely isn’t true Japanese, but it is comforting food that even the pickiest eaters can enjoy. The noodles bowls are big and filing. They also have tap water! Service: 2⁄5 This is a fast food joint, so you do need to flag the waiter down. Atmosphere: 2⁄5 This particular location is very large and has a lot of seating, so you shouldn’t really have to wait. There is free WIFI if you like them on Facebook! Value: 4⁄5 The prices are super reasonable(for Amsterdam) and the portions are filling.

Wagamama never disappoints me. This location is a lot less crowded than their other locations in the city centre. Always enough seats here! They food is always great and fresh and has a good price. Also love their desserts. My all time favourite meal is the mandarin chicken salad.

Inoffensive ambiguously Asian cuisine. The food tasted well enough, don’t get me wrong, but the menu covers food from many countries but and none of the items I tried really had the distinctive flavor of where it came from. For example, there was cilantro/coriander in my teriyaki donburi. Delicious? Yes, of course. But Japanese? No, not really. This place is really best for people without adventurous taste buds.

Super friendly service(happy to have that), plus quick and efficient with the delicious food. Freshly prepared, quick and tasty – a winner. The specials are nice and on the regular menu, the duck dumplings were especially good. It’s great for a freshly prepared meal when time is limited, but you also have the choice to linger.

Stayed around Amsterdam Zuid for a few days and was glad to have found this restaurant. Ate dinner here for 2 consecutive nights. Honestly didn’t enjoy the appetizers too much but it was a business trip so I got to expense it anyways. The main entrée was good compared to what else was around the area. Free wifi for 30 mins or so.

When I first went to this Asian noodle spot I was delighted to know that there was actually something here I could eat. When you have Celiac your diet is pretty much limited when it comes to Asian dishes. However my boyfriend found out rice and glass noodles was exempt from Gluten. Wagamama is treated like a fast food joint. It’s ideal for large parties or casual groups but nothing to get fancy about. Don’t expect 5 star treatment because like I said it’s a sit down fast food place. I like going here with my Dutchman when we are in the mood for something low key, warm and quick. They have these great big soups with plenty of noodles. I always leave with a happy and full tummy. So happy that we bought a «Wagamama Cookbook» to brush up on our cooking skills in the kitchen.
