Two For Joy is another good neighborhood café. Their coffee, juices and snacks are all wonderful and the staff there has always welcomed me with a smile. It’s a nice stop on the way to Westerpark if you are heading out for a stroll. There is also plenty of space to setup either upstairs or down to work or have your food. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood for coffee.

The to-die-for coffee(the drip is truly epic), the insanely delicious food, the cozy tables where you can sit for hours without getting frowned at by the(awesome) staff… This place is almost too good to be true. It’s an Amsterdam hidden gem, even better than their other location. The only thing that’s a bit of a shame is that their wifi is truly awful. But this place is so good that I STILL can’t give it less than 5 stars.

I just love Two for Joy. Both locations. Delicious soy lattes, friendly baristas, free jugs of water for your refilling pleasure, wifi, comfy seats… I could go on. I wish I had this wonderful place back home in Boston. I recommend a stop to everyone!

I don’t know what the name means. but I suspect it has to do with the fact you can’t stop at 1 coffee here and often drink at least 2! excellent café latte, banana cake was moist and crumbly and the lentil soup was thick and flavourful. they also don’t throw me dirty looks if I dwell a bit longer to finish my book, having ordered several things of course. throw in a cute barista(baristress?) and why wouldn’t you spend a nice afternoon here!

Honestly some of the best coffee/espresso I have ever had has come from Two For Joy. I am obsessed with coffee and search out the best beans wherever I go, so for this place to be at the top is quite a feat! Also! There sandwiches and koekjes are incredible! Go here!

Two For Joy has speciality coffee, usually busy on weekdays. They have three distinct seating areas, and it can get a little noisy. I had a flat white at the bar, perfect spot to watch the barrista magic happen.

Best coffee in the city and great atmosphere to have it in. They have all sorts of coffee brewing methods and beans and they are more than happy to share and explain each one.

Great little café with an international crowd/staff. A bit crowded and hard to find a seat on the weekends but on weekdays it’s top! Good sandwiches too. Love the magazine selection and the ginger ice tea.

Two for Joy Coffee is awesome. A small roaster in back, terrific espresso, pour over, and chemex. It very much reminded me of popular coffee spots in the Mission in San Francisco. I spent to lovely laid back afternoons tucked away in a comfy couch read, relaxing, and reviving after touristy days at the museums. If I lived in Amsterdam I’d probably be back every week.

Great place for coffee and lunch. The staff is very international and the atmosphere is very cosy. They have free WiFi and it’s a great place to plan your day in Amsterdam or just to rest for a while.

This must be The best place to go for coffee in Amsterdam, they offer up a perfect brew. but, if you like me prefer your coffee black, please please please go for one of the drip options instead of the americano. the latter is too burnt, while the former is perfectly soft. Having said that. the espresso macchiato is more than a decent choice if you do feel like a small dollop of milk. The interior is simple but cool, and in summer it opens on into the tiny backyard. makes it feel very fresh indeed. A great place to bring your laptop(they offer free wi-fi), but you won’t be the only one. there’s so many iBooks you could easily mistake them for being apart of the interior. And if you get hungry working away on your laptop they offer up little treats such as a cheese tostie, lemon lentil soup and vegetarian chili.

Best cup of espresso I have had in Amsterdam, hands down. Full body, beautiful crema, slightly fruity and sweet notes, oh how I missed this. The people behind the bar know their stuff and the atmosphere is relaxed, low key, and good for working on your computer, taking a break, and catching up with a friend. The best!

Full of English-speaking freelancers leaching Wi-Fi by day, Two For Joy is the closest thing I’ve found to a good New York or San Francisco coffee shop. Much better than the Coffee Company and Bagels & Beans cookie-cutter joints just up the road. Breakfast Toasties are outstanding as are the iced teas and super relaxed service.
