All of a sudden I find myself being a little girl again, standing in front of a counter filled with candies and sweets to choose from. I guess it’s not only something Dutch to get a bit of pocket money from your mum, when she tells you to go to the shop to buy something nice for yourself. I used to get 1 guilder(the old Dutch currency… ooh my am I getting old?) when I would go to the swimming pool on a sunny afternoon. The little candy shop was filled with jars with candies and it took me more than 5 minutes to choose what I could buy with 1 guilder. The TeaBar gives you that feeling. Or at least it gives me this feeling. Shelves filled with boxes of nice smelling tea and if you like tea as much as I do, buying tea feels like buying candies. There are too many to choose from. One of my favorites is Notedroom(dream of nuts) and Sencha Ginger Orange. Walnut green is nice and fresh and so is Good Morning Sunshine. There is a tea for every moment and mood. And together with a bar of chocolate it makes a really nice gift too! So, hurrah hurrah for the TeaBar who makes me feel nice and sweet and young again!

Very cool place! So many tea blends to choose from and some even have creative names. There is also anything you could possibly need for making or serving tea… including chocolate ;) Great open space, and I like the serve-yourself concept. Open the container, give it a sniff, and put whatever you want in a bag. Next time I want to spend a leisurely afternoon here just sipping teas. Just don’t think you’ll leave here without a bag of tea if you are a tea drinker. You’ll want to try so many!

Watch out by buying tea here! I think tea needs to be as Natural as is can be. They do have a lot of different kinds of tea in this bar. But i found it different to choose a Natural tea. The fresh tea can make mislead u. The different teas arent regulair teas and tatses. I really thought: ha Nice a tea bar! With fresh teas finally! But no. Only mixed teas with fancy names and even in Some teas is actually sweetness added! Thats the biggest reason why i dont drink teas from the supermarket. So sad. But they do have nice accessories for people who love tea! Nice to give as a gift or just for yourself! But i would think twice to but tea next time Iam there.

I have become a serious fan of drinking tea, since I have been living in Holland. Growing up in LA there was no desire for a hot cup of tea and I never really was a fan of ice tea. However the only way I can embrace the cold in Amsterdam is with a nice hot cup of tea. I so love this tea shop! They have so many wonderful blends of tea, it makes me feel like a kid in candy store.

Calling all tea lovers! this is the place for you. when you first walk in you immediately get slapped silly in the face by the scent of tea, so many to chose from. Downstairs is where all the teas are for purchase by the cup, pot or bag(to take home). they also have a nice section of tea accessories from tea pots to delicious chocolates and totes that say«i heart tea». upstairs is a section to sit at and enjoy your tea. coffee drinkers… don’t even bother coming here!
