This store is a small store in the nine streets. Cute store with the shoes front and center. I’ve been in here a couple times, the first time was about 8 months ago when I bought a pair of shoes. The service was good. This time I couldn’t really tell who worked there as everyone was talking to each other, but then I noticed someone asking people if they needed help, so I got one guy’s attention. When I asked if they had a size of shoe, he popped in the back for a second, said no, the one out was all they had, then walked away and behind a counter. Nothing about a different shoe, or anything like that.
I found another shoe I asked about, and trying to get the same guy’s attention, but instead another guy came up, then the first guy came at the same time and just looked at me. I wasn’t sure who I was supposed to talk to! Then I asked about the different shoe, and the new guy checked for me. They didn’t have it. He seemed to try and get away from me too, but he just said to order online. When I asked if I could ship it to the store (you know how some companies will do that for free?). He said «Where do you live?» I answered «Here» and he said «Then, ship it to your house» like I was an idiot. So I asked if I could return them to the store if they didn’t fit, that’s a no. What seemed like an effort to get rid of me, he gave me a free shipping card, which was nice, but then he walked away. So they get an extra star for helping me save money!
I left rather frustrated and I had been so excited to buy a pair of shoes that day, and probably would have gotten something different. But I felt like I was in the way. As a tip that I didn’t find out until AFTER I ordered online. If you sign up on their website with your email, you might get a discount… now you know… and I do too.
