East Amsterdam is welcoming these cool new places! These kind of places make this neighborhood a cool blend between multi culti, hip in once a bit shabby side of town.
I remember this street really being a boring place, and apart from going to The Turk, you would not find me here. Now I find myself siting on chair in that same street. You immediately feel the atmosphere has changed. That’s what a good coffeebar does: serving good coffees and changing the atmosphere. Leaving behind a mark and making a place better than before it was there.
Coffees are nice, the work of a real barrista. Cakes and sandwiches looked deliciously fine, but I still need to try these. I’ll be back!

Rum Baba has improved sooooo much since their opening. This place is cosy, has great coffee and pastries plus friendly staff! It is now one of my favorite spots in Oost. Highly recommended!

Lovely place, good prices and lovely cake and tea! Previous reviews state that the service was bad, but the shop just opened up then! Cut these guys some slack! Jeroen is the best shop owner I have ever seen, enjoy!
