They were really gracious seating me on what was a busy cold rainy night. They let me know the table was mine, but that it would be needed by a party that had booked it. They were not rude. In fact the staff was incredibly nice. The Amuse Bouche a kind of warm pork pâté withe pickled veggies was delicious. The cold veal appetizer was equally good, though had I realized I was going to have meat each course, I might have rethought my order. The pork main was lovely really nice beans an Brussel Sprouts. The pork was perfectly cooked in 3 different preparations. Wonderful moist and some of it deliciously smokey. The Stilton course was very simple but really good The room is very clean, well-lit Scandinavian(or is it Dutch?) design, simple warm unpretentious. Oh and the meal was never rushed.

just not good, not at all not to much else to say got told to come by are hotel and it was the worst meal we had in amsterdam. and very $$$ 2 people almost 200 euros

A rather small and excellent restaurant. I had the pleasure to visit it in June 2010, when I followed a recommensation from a local friend. Best is to make a reservation for a table as there are not so many tables and quite a lot of guests, at least when I was there. The food they served to me was excellent and worth the price. The prices are not bottom line, but rather on an upper, but adequate level. The restaurant seemed not to be a very touristic place as the location might suggest, but rather a meeting point for locals who enjoy the excellent dishes served in the ZuidZeeland.
