This is a place I used to come often but my last two visits in last 3 months were not that satisfying. Staff are running around to help the tables but they are clearly not enough. Today we have waited 20 – 22 minutes to get a menu (at the end no one brought a menu and i got one from a near table) after numerous times of calling the waitress, we could at last order. It is a nice café but beware of always being crowded and never having enough staff.

The Turkish breakfast here (served on the weekends until 15:00) could have rivaled any I had in Istanbul. Granted, it also probably cost 10x more than I ever paid for it in Turkey but hey, that’s Amsterdam prices for you.
At something like 13,50 € (including tea!), this is the perfect brunch for grazers like me, who can never decide on one dish to eat and would rather have lots of little things. This came with TEN separate plates full of delicious stuff. There was so much food in the «breakfast for one» that I caught myself hoping something would taste bad so I wouldn’t feel like I was missing out if I couldn’t eat it, but it was ALL delicious.
The vibe here is also super laid-​back, mostly locals reading the newspaper over a cup of coffee. Highly recommended on a sunny day!

Attention sun worshipers, this has one of the best terraces in the city (when the sun is out). Excellent coffee. Fast service. I’ve only had the snacks and the sandwiches and these have all been spot on. Everyone raves about the breakfasts on the weekends — only my list to try.

Very friendly personnel, well chosen people that all have a positive vibe to them. Menu is varied, both international plates such as pasta can be ordered, but they also have turkish /​north african dishes to choose out of. My personal favorite is the 11.75 euro chicken saté plate which comes with Krupuk, Acar, some lettuce and a nice serving of fat grandma-​style chips. Very good value for money!
