Pasta Pasta was a godsend when we first got to our rental apartment in Amsterdam. After a long train ride from London, we dumped our luggage at the apartment and searched for food. We ended up at Pasta Pasta and I was happy the pasta was made fresh and the variety of noodle types, sauces and protein was nice. Vegan and Vegetarian options were great and noted on the menu. I was thoroughly satisfied with my meal. We came back on New Year’s Day as we were wandering the neighborhood looking for a restaurant that would be open. Pasta Pasta was open and I was glad. There were only 2 – 3 other people there. The service wasn’t great this time around, the staff felt on edge and you could tell they were tired and not too happy to be working on a holiday. It felt a bit uncomfortable being there. We almost walked out when no one acknowledged we had been sitting at a table without ordering for 15 minutes. We walked up to the register to order or see what was up but was told to sit down and they would come to us. They eventually took our order although most items they had run out of already. I’d say timing is optimal if you want to come here for dinner.

Fresh pasta made to order. Middle of the road quality but a good value for the price! Fast service

Good pasta made on site using Italian semolina flour. For this price and quality I will come back again. I really liked the Funghi sauce!

I can’t believe you can get a quick fresh pasta meal for soooooo little money! I would dine here on the regular if I lived in Amsterdam! Great fresh pasta cooked perfectly al dents with a selection of different sauces and add-ins. You won’t be disappointed.

We were here now twice. It’s like Vapiano, but a bit cheaper and you don’t have to wait so long. You also get served at your table. Disadvantage: no pizza. The service is very friendly and funny. Good and fresh food. Prices are ok. Recommend the ‘la chouffe’-beer. Will come back soon.

The best Italian food I have had in awhile. This is a complete hot spot for a quick amazing food! Unfortunately we will never be back, we came here three times in two days and the the last time my pasta was served cold and the staff refused to reheat. So therefore I changed my 5 star review to a two star review. Hopefully the staff will be more accommodating in the future.

Looks really plain but surprisingly flavorful. We ordered the Pomodoro on penne with chicken and the Alfredo on spinach noodles. The chicken were huge chunks of soft, mushy chicken. It was an add-on for 2,30 €, and I would not order it again. It is a good place to fix a pasta craving and I will be back again.

Très bonnes pâtes(on peut choisir le type) pas très cher. En format à emporter on vous donne un petit pot de parmesan et un bout de pain.

Cozy, quick, affordable and… amazing. Home made noodles and sauce with the ability to customize your ingredients. What else could a pasta lover ask for! Be sure to check this place out if you are in the mood for some delicious pasta.

I Love the place! It is out Every Friday meeting place for dinner. Price are really accessible to everyone. Every pasta sauce is really good! Champinios, Carbonara and Alfredo are the best one! Always easy to get a place or to share a table. Portions are good size! Attention is really cool, and service really fast! Try to eat slow and enjoy the good food!!! Just for 7 € you can get a meal! Deserts are good, Tiramisu maybe one of the best ones! Also a Coffee is good idea after your pasta! Maybe it is not the most Italian place in the city but for sure you will enjoy it! Pasta pasta is you next Friday pasta place! :-)

Went with the family when everyone was visiting(6 adults and 2 kids). As we arrived early, we were able to take over a large table and then proceed to decide what to eat. Prices were alright, portions were good, and the staff was friendly. The place is small, but it was comfortable. The meals came out pretty quickly. I don’t remember all the different dishes we tried, but everyone enjoyed their meals and left full. They have Browerij ‘t Ij beers, so that added some bonus points. I’ll be back for more pasta and a beer!

Ordered here twice during our stay in Amsterdam. We stayed in this neighborhood(de Pijp) so it was nice to have a quick service type of restaurant in the area that was open pretty late(midnight). Basically, you just choose your sauce, toppings/ingredients and type of pasta. They had a good selection of 12 sauces — everything from basic pomodoro to carbonara to pesto. I tried the funghi(mushrooms, white wine, cream and garlic) with spinach ravioli on one visit and arrabbiata with spinach tagliatelle on another. Both were pretty tasty and satisfying with the other simple ingredients I added. They cook everything to order which is in open view. My boyfriend had the funghi with radiatori pasta, it was slightly bland but not bad. All of their pasta looks to be made on site. Service is decent, nothing memorable, staff just seemed a little aloof. Free WiFi is available as well as plenty of comfortable seating.

Stopped in here during my visit in Amsterdam because of the good reviews this place had. I randomly passed it on the way back from the market and decided to stop in. I must say the service was very nice, the prices were reasonable and the portion was alright. The owner recommended her Gnocci Pesto saying it was homemade and delicious. My main complaint here was that the«homemade» pesto was not great and neither was the gnocchi. So really the meal was not good at all. And cost about 8 Euros. They only give you one piece of homemade bread, don’t bother asking for more or they will charge you. They do expect a tip even though it is a quicker style restaurant, you are ordering at the cash register, then choosing a seat, then they bring your food. My overall experience here was alright, I would not go back because basically their food sucked. However if you have no taste buds or don’t know much about food this could still be the place for you!

Very nice place to eat Italian without spending a lot. Chefs are Italian and all the staff seems to really enjoy their work, this gives good waves to the restaurant. Dishes are pretty abundant, 42 euros with starter and pasta dish and glass of wine. for two people. Suggested.
