H&M’s rich sister arrived in Amsterdam in late 2014, and it came with a fuss. & Other Stories is a very concept-oriented brand with a strong scandi influence — think of clean shapes, straight cuts, neutral colours, and minimalistic design. It’s quite pricey, but at least the clothes seem to be durable and the fabrics seem very nice. I was not sure whether I should give them 4 or 5 stars, but I decided on 4 because — although I love the concept and the store itself — nothing here has really caught my attention enough to make me spend over € 70 in just a piece of clothing(the average price of the store). So yeah: good clothes with a classical appeal, but nothing extraordinary — IMHO, obviously. You’ll also find jewellery, shoes from different brands, purses, socks, cosmetics(their nail polishes are great, albeit overpriced) and beauty products. What I love the most about & Other Stories truly is the jewellery selection: the pieces are minimalistic and timeless, utterly tasteful. The staff is friendly and ready to help you but they don’t overwhelm you, which I think is a big plus. The store itself is incredible, very spacious, bright and well organised. Don’t forget to check out the upper level as well. You’ll pay mostly for the concept of the store, truth be told, but that’s not a bad thing when it comes to & Other Stories.

Such lovely clothes! They might seem a bit pricey to some people at first but the quality is so nice! Lovely colors, shapes and cuts! I love their shower gels and nail polish :) They have very nice shoes and sunnies too, and silk shirts that I really like. The store is big and spacious so you don’t feel crowded, which is rare in the middle of the city! Make sure to stop here if you are close to the spui and shopping!
