This looked like a fantastic store while it was still around, but unfortunately the last day it is open is January 30, 2016. :(

I have passed this place once or twice before but not managed to go in and take a look until today. It’s a smallish but well stocked Japanese supermarket with tea sets, rolling matts, lots of sushi making items, dried fish for soup, dashi, pocky, tapioca cakes, lucky cats and all sorts of things you might be looking for. I got a rolling matt, some sushi making items along with some sushi to take home. There is a standing table to eat in if you choose and I’ve seen a number of students in here for lunch. I got a 267g tuna mayo rice seaweed roll for 3 euros, 4 good yakatori chicken skewers for 3.50 euros, and a 4 large tuna piece, 6 little and two roe sushi pack for around 8.50 euros. It’s a real shame this place is closing down — I’ll definitely be visiting a few times before the end of the month.

I came back a couple of days later, ate inside, got my free green tea, and still think the food is delicious. They will warm up any cold dish upon request(in a microwave, but that’s better than eating cold katsu, I think). I’m already planning my next visit! Yep, this store has got my heart.

I love this supermarket. In the front of the store they have fresh sashimi, sushi, hand rolls, cooked appetizers, and bentos. The staff is really friendly and welcoming too. If you decide to eat here, be ready to stand since they don’t have chairs available. Oh, and there’s free tea available if you eat there. In the back of the store is where you can find all the essentials and grocery shop. Love this place.

I was here ten years ago and have been wanting to see if if it was as good as my memories. I’m happy to say that it is. This is a wonderful Japanese market and sushi store. These not much room to eat here, some high stool and a couple of places to stand but the food is tasty! They seem to be doing a big take away business. Next time I’m in the neighborhood I will stop by for a quick bite.
