I am sorry but the place looks very nice from the out side, it’s an illusion. YoU have to pre order you choices before you sit at a table because there’s no waiters. I order a mozzarella tomato sandwich and coffee latte lavazza . I love coffee, and after 15 mins waiting I was given a cup of milk and the coffee tasted like a cheaper version. Either the coffee was not lavazza or their machine need to be cleaned out. In addition, the guys behind the counter need to learn to make a latte. Now the illusion, after 20 mins of waiting for my sandwich I get up and ask the young girl taking the order what happened to my sandwich and she replied o in 5 mins, I said ok(FYI the sandwiches are pre made behind the glass display so they only have to warm them up) I waited another 10 mins so I get up and ask her again, she said o it’s in the oven so she checks, She forgot to put it in ! I demanded my money back which I got but was more annoyed I didn’t get a good cup of coffee or my sandwich ! Maybe it was a bad day for them but at least learn to make a decent cup of lavazza coffee.

We had a quick lunch at Lunas, sandwiches were prepared fresh but the only disappointment was the drink we ordered was not available so had to choose another option. The café has two floors with a few small tables halfway up the stairs which is where we chose to sit and from there you can watch passers by in the street and have a good view over the café watching the sandwiches and drinks being made.

I went here yesterday with a friend after shopping, and sat down for a cup of cappuccino. I had the decaf cappuccino and it tasted delicious. I also had a piece of the lemon meringue pie and I highly recommend it! You can also sit upstairs for a more laid back atmosphere. If you are in a rush you can have nice muffins to take away!

After being turned away from Gartine and wandering along Kalverstraat doing some window shopping, we came across Luna’s Café and what a lucky find! We had a tomato and cheese toasty(toasty!), a chocolate covered waffle(life changing), and two cappuccinos(divine). We sat upstairs, which we had to ourselves and marveled over how good the coffee was, and how on earth this cold little waffle(that I thought would be all dried out and crumbly like bread gets when it’s kept in the fridge) could be SOAMAZING. We spent the rest of our time in Europe trying to recapture a treat so tasty(including in Brussels!). The chocolate slowly melted as we ate it and it came to room temperature, and we found these fantastic little pockets of crystallized sugar through which added crunch and extra sweetness. So good.
