We went to this place twice on two days! BEST DRINKS EVER. …happy hour until 9:00!!! Drinks made with LOVE!!!

Lime café? I don’t like that name. Fake 70’s interior? I think it’s ugly. American R&B music? Not my cup of tea. Even the poor excuus for a disco ball dangling from the ceiling is a pathetic little thing. But, damn, I can’t help loving this endearing little cocktailbar! Because what really counts is of course that fantastic Caipirinha they mix here! It’s just as great as the ones I had in Brazil! And that terrific Old Fashioned is nice and smokey, just they way I like them! Although it was quite busy, the guy and lady behind the bar were actually really fast in preparing all those tasty drinks! Thumbs up! And outside they had a bench at the Zeedijk, from which it was great enjoying Lime’s great cocktails and the first rays of this Spring’s sun. But you know what really blew me away? Well, what do you think these yummy cocktails set you back? ONLY € 5,50 (till 21 hours) a piece! That’s HALF the price Amsterdam bars usually charge you for a cocktail nowadays! I rest my case. Well done, Lime.

They have a bench outside if you want to sip outdoor… inside is small, kind of dark. quite a short list of cocktails but all good.

Well the drinks definitely have booze in them. There isn’t many on the menu though. Also they are «normal» cocktails. Meaning unimaginative and the usual suspects like mojitos and manhattans. Cozy atmosphere and music though.

Lime is the kind of place you go when you don’t know where to go: you’ll always fit in. IT-​girls, politicians, artists, hipsters and entrepreneurs all are regularly found hanging out on one of the couches. Although Lime is branded as a cocktail bar — and it does serve them — you’re better of expecting a general lounge bar.
The atmosphere feel’s like your at the place of a friend’s friend, who has just that morning decided to welcome everyone to his — tacky decorated — living room for a disco party. He did not think of the fact his living room is way to small for dancing, but he does prepare all drinks with great care.
