8e for very thorough eyebrow threading. Nice! I highly recommend an appointment as it can get very busy in there. Also had a blowout here and was very pleased. Solid technique. Not sure if I would get a hair cut here though. Saw them use the razor scissor a lot. Not a fan of that!

A multicultural, friendly and *cheap* beauty salon! This salon is around the corner from my house and I stop by fairly often to have my eyebrows or eyelashes dyed, or my hair blown out. The service is friendly and helpful and it’s always SO busy. You can usually be served right away if you’re willing to sit on the stairs/an overturned towel bin/squashed into the corner. The price is super cheap– 5 euros for eyebrow dying, 20 euros for a full blow out of your hair(they spend ages getting it exactly how you want it). There is a lady who is excellent at threading eyebrows(I forgot her name but if you ask they’ll know who you mean). Everything is done with gusto and enthusiasm — I feel like I’m on holiday in the Mediterranean when I’m here! I think I go as much for the fun experience as for the results.

This is the cheapest haircut I’ve found in Amsterdam — € 13. A few notes: I’m male, and I’m from the U.S. Where I’m from, haircuts are pretty cheap for dudes. They can expensive, sure, but most places won’t charge more than $ 20 for a basic cut. While cruising around Amsterdam(where I recently moved to), I was shocked to see prices of € 30 or so. After some exploring, I found Kapsalon Bianco and went in for a snipperoo.(It’s okay for me to use such terms, don’t worry.) My cut was quick and to-the-point. If you want a cheap, good cut — go here. I’m not sure about the lady side of things, though.
