At both the shop and bar across the street, the servers were very rude and had a poor attitude… It was a a bad way to start an Amsterdam trip

Small space, not so much space to sit. Good atmosphere, great selections of products. A lot of retro looking soft drinks, which good price tags. Good service, great to respond to questions about their selection.

I really like this coffeeshop for its personable service, space and generally cool people. I was here with a small group of folks and we stayed there for 2 – 3 hours hanging out with the locals. The people were very friendly and willing to crack a few jokes while drinking and enjoying Kadinsky’s wide variety of goodies :) Go here then go to Broodje Bert for their food!

This place had a different vibe than the other 3 coffeeshops I visited while in Amsterdam. It seemed more like a bar than a coffee shop to me, perhaps due to the minimalistic décor. We sat next to another American who ended up chatting with us because he overheard our American accents. Usually, I’m not so comfortable talking to strangers, so I let my boyfriend carry most of the conversation while I sat next to him. I did ask the lady behind the counter if they had any special cakes, and she said yes and pulled out two Tupperware containers of what looked like homemade loaf cakes. There were two kinds – carrot and chocolate, and were pre-sliced. I chose a chocolate one, and she put it in a little plastic baggie for me to take away. This cake was delicious, too. Moist and decadent, it was just like a yummy chocolate cake… but the delayed effect was pretty potent. I only ate slightly less than half of it while on the train ride to the airport. It took a while to set in, and then the aftermath lasted for several hours. But by then I was just relaxing at home. :)

Not bad– we didn’t sit down and hang out, but we did do the ultimate touristy business– bought a pack of pre-rolled joints to hustle off to our day trip to Volendam. Yeah, it’s not as good as buying some better shit and rolling it yourself, but I suck at rolling(me and the bong were Siamese twins back in the day) and the convenience of some still-damned-good Dutch weed in a box, ready to go was nice for the price(something like 7 Euro for a 5-pack.) And the bus ride to Volendam is INFINITELY better when you’re stoned. As is Volendam.

Probably my favorite coffeeshop, atmosphere-wise, that i visited in Amsterdam. Their selection of ganja and fruit juices is unmatched(in my brief experience). Music was also just right. especially once the band showed up and started jamming. good times, indeed.
