— Very loud music, can’t smoke your own stuff, you have to buy something from them
— bought a cup of tea + 1 gr of weed in a group of 4 people, wanted to sit down and had to buy another drink so we all were allowed to sit down (even though they had enough free space for many more people)

Based on the other review I decided to check this place out and went back basically everyday I was in Amsterdam. From the fact that it is only a few blocks from the damstraat, to the quiet atmosphere, it was such a nice experience. The upstairs wasn’t open, but the free wifi and decent cappuccinos and pre-​rolled j’s made it an easy place to relax. Loved that it was off a quieter canal and away from the touristy red light district.

Le meilleur coffee shop d’Amsterdam!
Le Rusland est sans conteste l’un des tous meilleurs coffees de cette ville si ce n’est le meilleur. Le service sera toujours parfait et orchestré la plupart du temps par une charmante jeune femme batave qui saura vous parler dans les moments les plus difficiles… Le décor est sobre (boiseries rouges et noires) mais la lumière est tellement bien étudiée que c’est le must a Amsterdam pour les débuts de soirées. Restez y jusqu’à 01h00 du mat’ et vous serez vraiment heureux de votre soirée!
