Oh my! So many cheese samples! I tried not to pig out, but it was so difficult. There were so many delicious cheeses! We finally decided on one, got about 300 grams and walked away paying so little. I love cheese

What a lovely little local cheese shop. I come to Amsterdam often and now that we are approaching the holidays I wanted to bring some fabulous cheeses home as gifts.
So glad I found this place! The gentleman that helped me was so gracious and offered me suggestions based on my recipients tastes preferences.
I ended up with an aged Gouda, Pesto, and Truffle Goat cheese. Oh my gosh — it all tasted so amazing! They vacuum packed everything so the cheese is good for three months.
Can’t wait to wrap these babies up and give them away! What better gift is there?

very hospitable cheese shop with a great selection!
we came in just minutes before close and they accommodated us by unwrapping cheese and providing us with a wide selection of samples. very classy move on their part!
they also have a nice selection of fresh baked breads for purchase.
will definitely return — and buy more cheese — next time.

This cheese shop sees me daily when I’m in Amsterdam. Why you ask?
Because the cheese selection is fantastic, the pastries are delicious and so are all of the other tasty treats they have.
My favorites are just about any cheese, the Oude Kaas Croissants and Chocolate Croissants. They have a bunch of fresh baked bread. Lots of side items that you can eat with the cheese and bread. Spreads, olives, tapas spreads.
It’s a great place to drop in and pickup items you can enjoy on an «In The City» picnic. Vondel Park isn’t that far away.
As a plus, a wine store is just a few shops away.
Don’t be afraid to stop in, ask questions and enjoy some fantastic food. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. If you find a favorite item, they can ship some home for you also.

Not only amazing cheese. Friendly staff and in my 2.5years in Amsterdam, the BEST sandwich (cheese) in town. Fresh bread and all the top cheeses in Europe. Recommend, «brodje a Danny» for a mild day and the «mozzarella heaven» for a warm one.

Great cheese shop! They are very friendly, have samples, and also like to chat about the cheeses and help you select the ones you’d like. I’ve had very nice ones from this place and also like their bread quite a bit! It can be pricey with all those specialty cheeses, but sometimes that’s exactly what the doctor ordered :)

Mmmm cheese. There are a lot of cheese shops in Amsterdam but they can be a little intimidating. This shop will let you try EVERYTHING. Even if it’s super tightly wrapped up the staff will chop you off a piece. Ask questions. Do it. They will answer them.
Beyond the cheese, the breads they have are sooooooooo good. I must admit I walked away from here full. Sample, sample, sample. Nom. Nom. Nom. But I also did walk away with a lovely and very old gouda and a very sharp cheddar that is almost gone. Oh so good.
Can’t wait to go back.

Tromp is a truly excellent shop. A great place to go to treat yourself to some wonderful cheese. The quailty here is top notch and there are samples of many of the cheeses for you to try. You can also order sandwiches in the back. So buy some cheese to take home and get a sandwich for lunch.
Their truffle cheese is wow, out of this world. Great selections of old and new cheese, blue, red, goat, cow, sheep… you name it, they’ve got it.
Good for entertaining guests and for yourself. Giving it 4 rather than 5 stars, because it is a bit pricey! But worth it.

If there’s one thing I love in this world, it’s cheese.
Tromp is a cute little cheese shop off the beaten path. I wandered in while roaming near my hotel. I wish there was a place like this back home. A nice selection of cheese, one of the largest selections of different tapenades, some cured meat. Samples out to try (who doesn’t like free cheese?!). Friendly staff. What more could you ask for?
