The limoncello ice cream was very good. I have my usual complaints about hygiene (sigh). It was cash only the day we went but not sure if it’s always so — the way she announced it as we walked in the door made me think maybe not. There are a few benches outside to sit on but beware of the pigeons. One literally landed on me and tried to peck at my ice cream. I screamed and my boyfriend shooed it away. True story.

Nice spot to grab a cone of ice cream, if you have a sweet tooth. Such a friendly atmosphere. I see a lot of parents stop in here with their kids. They have an adorable bohemian bench to sit on outside. Happy that I behaved this year, and stopped in here only twice for a cup of ice cream. I told myself this year that I was going to limit my ice cream intake. In the past I was stopping in here a little too often when the weather was warm. Customer service is good. Keep in mind that they only take cash and no pin.

Ijssalon Ijspret is a small gelato place in the Rivierenbuurt. It is quite outside of the citycenter so not that well know. For me this place is perfect. It is near my place and they have the most delicious lemon cheesecake icecream i’ve ever had! It is my favorite icecream in amsterdam! Absulotely delicious and a for a good price as well, 1,20 euros for a scoop. When in the neighbourhood you have to try this place!
