Bit expensive, but sooooooo yummy! Their hot chocolate is basically a liquid dream and I am a huge fan of the high cocoa content milk chocolate, so creamy yet such a deep flavour. Yum!

Beautiful chocolate store just off of the major shopping street in Amsterdam. The reason to visit? Well, the chocolates of course, but at Hotel Chocolat they know everything you could possibly want to know about cocoa (they grow their own pods!).
This means that they’ve also mastered the creation of hot cocoa, cocoa butters, cocoa bars and spreads… all delicious and very gift-​worthy. I can’t believe that people settle for grocery store chocolate bars when these types of chocolatiers exist in the world. So yes, it’s worth a visit.

Cool place to go if you are looking to buy chocolate. They are a lot of different kinds and really know what they are talking about when it comes to chocolate. The filled chocolates are amazing and the plain chocolates are good as well. There are ones from a bunch of different origins so they taste quite different, almost like how wines taste different from each other.
The place is not cheap at all but I guess you come to expect that when you are buying good chocolate.

I always come here to buy chocolate gifts (and as an excuse to also buy some chocolate for myself). The chocolate here is just so delicious. They have many great flavours and very nice themed chocolate for things like Easter, Christmas, Halloween and mothers day.
Also, you can go upstairs and enjoy some hot chocolate, tea or coffee. I had the chili hot chocolate and it was really good!

A chocolate lover’s haven. Or just a great place to stop in for a free piece of chocolate! Take some time to stare at the displays of crazy chocolate creations from this British chocolate brand. Try the champagne truffle, or the Eton Mess chocolate bar.
They also have a special package complete with blindfold to truly maximize that sensual and intimate experience with your chocolate.
Also go upstairs for a slightly pricey but oh-​so-​delicious hot chocolate made from melted chocolate and milk. I like their spicy one… Only a slight spicy taste on the sides of your tongue.
Oh yes, the chocolate is sort of expensive for hot cocoa… But totes worth it!
