A beautiful location and stylish place at the waterfront of ‘de nieuwe meer’ close to ‘het Amsterdamse bos’. A beautiful terrace overlooking the water, but also from inside you can enjoy this beautiful view which makes you feel somewhere outside of a big city like Amsterdam. A little escape. The food is of very good quality, the service did not have their best day this evening in connecting with customers or even showing a smile on their face. That is a minor point in my experience. The prices are a bit on the high side, but the quality as well, so in good balance, but good to know.
Funny thing is that when I checked in on Unilocal they offered a free G&T which seemed to be an offer from a view years ago. They had a big laugh. I still hope they did not put my G&T on the bill, but I doubt it. They did not seem to get my hint. Anyway, for the G&T I would also come back, they really know how to create and present a good one and in different varieties. I did not have lobster, which they serve in different ways, but they also had some other beautifully created dishes with fish or meet. Some as starter as well as main course, so a small portions is an option. The amuse was a surprising blend of tastes. Also the pata negra ham we started with was very soft, like it melted in your mouth. The finishing touch was the Panacotta desert presented like a colorful piece of art.

Heaven on earth does exist! In Amsterdam…
Kitchen and serving brigade are really professional. Taste explosions accompanied by extra-​ordinary wines. The capo, Ferry, is a real magician.
Prices are somewhat up-​level, but worth it!

What a great view this place has! I could not believe that we were still in Amsterdam. Water and trees and boats as far as you can see. Really a cool experience especially since you can be right down by the water.
I did not eat there (only had drinks) so I cannot review the food. This review is basically just for the location. There were some small snacks that they were serving and the flavors were really nice. Would possibly be intrested in trying a whole dinner there.
