This place is crap, especially the Dutch guys that work behind the counter. They’re not helpful, disorganized and lack a little charisma. I came in looking for handle bars and despite there being lots of various sizes in diameter to choose from, the clerk said that I can choose anyone because there were no size differences. Confused? I sure was. I asked them to help me out by picking the most cheapest option and he directed me to pick it up myself. I dared asked for help to take off one of the grips that was stuck on my handle bar and wanted to charge me 5 euro for a half second work?! WTF?! They lost business because I left without making a purchase. Overpriced and too much fuss! AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOST!

This place is unfortunately extremely disorganized and not helpful. They are around the corner from where I live and I thought it would be great to get a bike from my work bike plan from here. Well lets just say its been over a month and I still don’t have a bike and I am quite stranded. I have already made the order so I cannot simply go somewhere else either. First they ordered the wrong bike for me. It was too big and they tried to tell me its ok and force it on me. Then they ordered it again and when I went in to pick it up they gave it to someone else. Now I am stuck waiting again. I will try to cancel the order. They just do not want to help, and they have a pretty poor selection. Do not get caught in the same trap as me and think that it is a convenient location. When a bike is your only way to get around you need some place better then this.

Amsterdam is known to be the«bicycling capital of Europe», it’s a must to ride a bike in Amsterdam and see the city as a tourist. Halfords has great bikes that doesn’t shout out tourist, please steal this bike. I believe it was a 50 Euros deposit and 40 Euros for five days. Great bike with big strong chains. Be sure to lock them up, bikes are stolen often here. Be sure to use both your headlights and rear lights at night. Very nice folks that works here.

Time for a new o’ma bike :) It is a British chain, they have everything for bikes, cars and motorbikes. This shop in particular does not have a huge choice of bikes, but for anything to use in the city is pretty good. Clerks are very nice, speak English if needed. They are probably not the cheapest but they are fast, after 40 minutes my bike was ready to be taken home… yea!
