My friend and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to eat lunch. We were afraid this place would be typical Dutch fare — and sadly it was, so much so that we correctly guessed 85% of the menu before we entered (tostis, Old Amsterdam open face sandwich, a couple of salads, blah blah blah). That said, they did have a Thai salad which was a bit out of the ordinary, and my pea soup was tasty. The service was attentive and the café was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The door on the way to the toilet was sticky which my friend and I both found massively disgusting. And I guess there just wasn’t anything to get excited about sadly. Maybe two stars is a bit harsh, two and a half might be a bit closer to the truth.
