Das Essen ist sehr gut und reichlich, die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, das Personal überschlägt sich nicht unbedingt vor Freundlichkeit, ist aber noch im Rahmen.

I came here for the Argentinean steak and was very pleased. I had not made a reservation but was seated nevertheless. The atmosphere is up-scale casual. The wait staff is attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the filet cooked rare. It was masterfully prepared and the beef was lean and very tender. The main courses include a side salad and a side dish of your choice. They include complementary chimichurri sauce with each meal but they others yo close from as well. Complementary WiFi is available and a nice wine selection.

It’s a beautiful restaurant that is actually quite large. Its décor reminded me of steakhouses back in the states. I had a rib eye steak since this was a steak house. It was juicy, tender and flavorful. Along with that I had a baked potato and a side order of asparagus with a garlic sauce. The service was great. There weren’t that many customers in the place. I’ve experienced poor service in empty restaurants before. This wasn’t the case here. I also had a dessert which its presentation was odd making it only a moderately pleasing experience. It was a scoop of ice cream in an upper tiered plate with in separate plates below strawberries in a chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It would have made more sense to put them all on the same plate. Regardless, I’ll definitely go again. They’re also dog friendly.

I ordered 400g of rib-eye steak and it was so good! I’m not a big steak eater, but this was worth the 27 euros. Yummy! My husband ordered the giant prawns so, of course, I had some which turned my dinner into a surf and turf– better than the Surf & Turf on the menu(you only get one giant prawn). YUM!

I came here because I was craving Argentinian chicken, I was very disappointed. Just kidding. If you like meat, and the concept of unlimited spare ribs, then this is the place for you…

There are several Argentine restaurants in the proximity of my hotel. I had tried Toro Dorado so I settled on Gauchos this time around. The place has a warm and pleasant atmosphere with booths, tables and white walls contrasting dark wood. The mostly young staff is friendly and efficient. They look great in their white jacket uniforms. The wine selection by the glass is affordable highlighting lots of Argentine wines, many from the Norton brand. I tried the«Bife de lomo all-in» which was accompanied by sauce of choice, salad and side dish. Plenty of food. The beef was the most tender I’ve had in a while and needed no sauce for flavoring though the house chimichurri was great. I decided to splurge for dessert. I tried the«panejillo» which was outstanding. A warm muffin on top of some warm«Dulce de leche» with a side scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was such a comforting, simple and delicious treat. Wow. The bill was 35 euros or about $ 50. Not a cheap meal but, the atmosphere, flavors and service were all so enjoyable that I have no doubt I will be back.

Lot’s of food and clean. You are right on the red-light district doorsteps, so finding a good place that is clean and reasonably priced is not so easy. I recommend this place.
