Divertimento Lunchroom

One of the best places to get a really good gourmet sandwich. Been there many times and always return when I am ever back in Amsterdam

I first went to Divertimento in November 2003, and every time l was in Amsterdam thereafter – once or twice a year, l went to Divertimento, at least for coffee, just about daily. What a great place – great staff, good food, and relaxed even when busy. You could read any of the newspapers from all over Europe, that sat on a rack near the tables. Then it became just another Starbucks – l swear to Christ l wanted to scream at the utter stupidity of yet another one, as if their coffee isn’t gruesome enough as it is, and the barristas all the same age and in the same clothes, sporting the same corporate smiles, and charging far more than any of their garbage is worth. Truly and thoroughly nauseating. What a loss, what a sad, sad loss…

Petit resto près du marché aux fleurs. Assez sympa pour déjeuner après une longue balade. L’accueil est friendly, la déco est cool et la cuisine plutôt bonne. Si vous êtes dans les parages à l’heure du dèj, n’hésitez pas! ;)

We have eaten here a few times and the food is really good value and the service is great.
You get the real buss of Amsterdam with a mix of locals and tourists.
I recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful little place outside of the flower market that serves decent food, great coffee and has a lovely view. The staff was very friendly too!
