After living in the area for 2 years without finding a good pizza place, I was excited to try this little pizza café out. It is always packed & assumed this indicated good food. We were promptly greeted & the guy pointed out a hidden table in the corner. He was able to answer any questions we had and took our order quickly. Service… A+. Food, however, not so impressive. Crust & sauce lacked flavor. Not at all worth the calories. Would love to go back for a glass of wine but it stops there.

My first time there, the place it’s quite small, which means it gets crowded fast, especially on a Friday afternoon when we came, so we had to wait a little for a table. However, the atmosphere is very nice and warm, so it’s the service. We shared a wine, bruschette and a pizza, everything was very good and at a reasonable price. Will surely return!

I was really happy with my De Pizzakamer experience. I sat outside with my Aunt and asked the waiter for a cocktail. «We don’t really do cocktails much in Amsterdam» he said nicely. So I told him how to make a Negroni and he did! It was great too because their liquor selection is quite nice so it was very delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff in total were all very sweet and congenial. The place had a very nice vibe, relaxing and no big rush to get you out but still quick service. I was really happy with my bill as well. My small pizza was something like 6 Euro and plenty for a small dinner. The pizza, the crust is amazing. Fantastic. My aunt mentioned that crust several more times on our trip. We weren’t familiar with the way the margarita pizza cheese came out(see picture) but it was delicious so no problem there. I also had a bruchetta which was nothing to rave about but nice and fresh all the same. I was there towards closing time and the chef let me take a picture of his lovely socks. He and the other cook were both Italian. If you’re a tourist and want to have a relaxing meal outside(or in) of excellent quality with friendly people, I really recommend it. I wish I could be there right now. But please don’t all go at once or you’ll ruin the place!

The pizza here is perfection: large, super thin crust, with the perfect amount of sauce and toppings. I love the prosciutto e funghi, and also highly recommend the salsiccia e tartufo and the diavolo. The ingredients are super fresh and the smell when you walk in… oh my. And, on top of all of that, friendly service. One of my top 3 favorites in Amsterdam.

Habemus pizzam!!! Perfect pizza 100% Italian thin crust style cooked in wood oven at high temperature. We started with rosmarino focaccia and bruschetta which were very very well done. The bruschetta had the cherry tomatoes which I really like and they were pre dressed so not too much oil on the bread slice. I took Pizza Margherita(which is the only one to check if Pizza is done right) with mozzarella di bufala. PERFECT! Thin crust and perfectly cooked with the tomato sauce still a bit runny. The pizza size is quite big, not the normal dish, a large one. Beer and here you have the perfect pizza dine :) The place is modern rough, very pleasant with a very very nice owner and waitress. They speak a bit of Italian and at my pleasant surprise, perfect pronunciation of every dish… well done. Passion and attention to details to deliver a very pleasant experience at a very reasonable price. It shows as the place even if it is not too tiny is always full. You can also have your slice at the counter. In the Pijp, which is is always a nice area.
