Great pizza and a very nice atmosphere. Just the right mix between a cool place and a truly italian-inspired ristorante. It helps that the location is great, right in between the Albert Cuypmarkt and Sphartipark.

Imagine my happiness over summer when I realised De Pizzabakkers(who don’t deliver and aren’t a part of the crazy thuisbezorgd family) were opening up in my neighbourhood. This amazing local hotspot is generally buzzing on a Thursday and Friday night, so if you expect to eat in, be sure to make a booking! Otherwise, call ahead and order before you stop in for a pick up. because if I’m truly honest, the waiting time can be a bit of a snoooooooore! My favourite pizza on their menu is the Tartufo– now the ingredient list is kind of random, there’s cooked ham, eggs and cheese but the secret finish is the generous drizzle of truffle cream sauce and that my friends is the shiz. So basically the shiz all over my pizza bizz is the most magical and delicious combination(and yes, this is a tomato free pizza!!!)! I’ve also tried the Prosciutto, and with a twist of freshly cracked pepper, this pizza comes a close close second to my favourite! The only thing I’m sad about is that it’s no longer summer and you can’t enjoy the pizza(and prosecco) on the terrace but summer is only a few(plus a few) more months away guys! So I’ll see you all there in the summertime!

Very disappointed in this location of the Pizzabakkers. While I have tremendously and repeatedly enjoyed the pizzas at the Pizzabakkers in Haarlem, the pizza I had here was far from good. The pizza was crunchy but the toppings were not well prepared; the bacon on my Trentina was not baked enough and the whole pizza was very oily. Then there was the issue that the heating couldn’t be turned on so we were freezing next to the window plus the waitresses who were harassing us to order more or leave. Not a good experience at all!

If you like pizza that you can pick up in your hand and eat this could be the place for you. It’s thin and made in a wood oven. We were happy with the amount of ingredients on the pizza. They seem to pride themselves on their cocktails and I enjoyed mine. This looks like one store in a chain and not having tried the others I can’t compare but I’ll be going back to this one.
